My problems with the 007 is mainly in comparison to the Omega and has to do with a more compressed soundstage and a tad bit of slowness that mushes up the clarity when the music gets complex. I do not listen at Ray Smuel levels either.

Well somebody has to say it so I will. Even as a comparative statement I find this statement strange. Though I do have some problems with the 007 MK I, those particular attributes would never enter the description.

Been missing my gin so went with the Satan's Whiskers (marcelled) 1 1/2 ounces gin 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth 1 1/4 ounces fresh orange juice 1 teaspoon falernum syrup 2 dashes Fee Brothers Old-Fashioned bitters Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Wow, the family resemblance is extremely small.

Decided I needed some gin so went with the Satan's Whiskers (revised) 1 1/2 ounces gin 1/2 ounce dry vermouth 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth 1/4 ounce Grand Marnier 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice 1 dash orange bitters Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
