  2. Congratulations Crappy, you've identified a problem no one else mentioned. Being mad at people on the internet trying to help you is definitely the path to success.
  3. in case someone else was going to make the same mistake?
  4. iBooks Author: Export your book for iBooks or in another format If you aren't submitting your book to the iBooks Store, ... You can also export only the text from your book. ... Type a name for the book, choose a place to save it, and click Export.
  5. You've said it can't. It's not a word processor. Do the editing in the word processor, then transfer to ibook, or pdf creator, or whatever, when you're done. It's not a word processor, it's for the last step to publish as an ibook. That's why it's free. You wouldn't want to create a picture in lightroom. It's for the final step, not the whole process.
  6. so do it in pdf?
  7. you make small edits in the program, or you edit the original files, and put them in ibook creator.
  8. itunes author is where you move the book once it's written. It's not a word processor.

  11. Anyone that's ever paid attention to JHA knows that they release new upgrades the minute they come up with them. He may be getting branding and sales advice, but I think his product development cycle is run by Doug from Up.
  12. I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully they find a way to help her.
  13. Right, they announced they were top of the line, then came up with something better. So they should hold off on selling it? After all, you agree there are things that they could improve on, and they improved on them.
  14. So you want them to not sell better iems if they make them, just so you can deal with it psychologically? Why not just stop looking when you find something you're happy with?
  15. as long as people keep paying more, someone will keep charging more.
  16. Started cooking the Christmas roast prime rib. Ribs will spend 72 hrs in the water bath and then the roast will get 8. Will finish in the broiler.
  17. I'm certainly praying for them
  18. I think this picture has been posted here before, but I know that guy. He was in the gun club I was in when I lived in northern Va. He usually had that on a tripod aimed at his front door. He was one of the folks I knew who worked for the company that put the back door in openssl, and being hired to do that by the FBI turned everyone I knew there kinda paranoid. Apparently the armorer's manual for that has a comment that says while it's not particularly effective against tanks, it's great for morale.
  19. I tend to work in ongoing projects. If you're working on specific projects that have gaps between them then sure you'd get to take that time off. Most of the environments I've experienced in the last decade run a bit lean on manpower.
  20. It certainly doesn't match anywhere I've worked. There may be years that you can do it but if you matter to the company it's hard to take much time at all.
  21. They have unlimited pto, of which you might get a few weeks a year.
  22. You won't ever find 2 months of vacation outside academia in the us.
  23. oh damn, hope everyone is in a position to get better.

    Cable Cutters

I just switched from satellite back to cable. Mostly because I now pay for phone, internet, and all available channels what I used to pay for just internet and phone.
