I work for the government. I'm here to help.
  2. I'd go for copper, it looks better the more tarnished it gets.
  3. The last rocky movie was spectacular. If rambo is a similar take on first blood, I can't wait. If it's a continuation of rambo/rambo2/rambo3, I'm not interested in the slightest.
  4. I'd say toddy's singlepower and the beta22 are both a good step up from the dynahi, and both are north of $2k...
  5. apogee minidac (traded my da53 for it) m-audio microtrack 24/96
  6. [me=grawk]volunteers as a beta tester.[/me]
  7. Apparently they can be had under $5k. And it's great with SACD, but not so impressive with CDs.
  8. slwiser brought a pair. They were, uhm, interesting. If I didn't know what music was supposed to sound like, I might have liked them. As it is, they just sounded a bit off.
  9. Btw justin, That mini amp/dac was awesome, I still can't believe you did that by hand. And the aristaeus is beautiful. Really allows the shuffle to shine as a source.
  10. Especially the way the cup kept falling off.
  11. Thrice threw a party, and it turns out it was mostly a head-case meet. I had a blast, and got to hear HE90s from a shuffle. My life is complete.
  12. Sure it is. When you want a pepsi in the south, in a restaurant, you ask for "pepsi coke"
  13. The rolling stone review when it came out was "Why couldn't they have just done "The Dead do Dylan". But Garcia does a lousy job of covering Dylan these days...
  14. Bring it, hippie dippie.
  15. You've perhaps missed out on that aspect of headcase humor, but feel free to report me. It's amazing the number of posts that get reported here, and the jokes that get made about said reporting.
  16. So it's point and laugh tuesday?
  17. You like mindless repetitive music too...
  18. My preference for watches are reasonably inexensive ($50-200) but well made, such as geneves and invictas. I tend to get automatic watches with no electronics because to me, they're "higher tech" than chips and digital. They're the ultimate puzzles.
  19. A Nokia N770 internet tablet was the last "major" gadget purchase A custom built amish pine 3 shelf book case for the kitchen is the last "major" furniture purchase (pick it up today) A card reader to get my 7/4 pictures off my camera was my last small purchase (flickr, youtube)
  20. Go for the sigma11
  21. Robert Heinlein - Friday
