Post what you're watching
I once broke a cat's nose. It was my girlfriend's cat, but we lived together. I was playing with him, and he bit me on my nose. Through the nostril. I jumped up and kicked him, breaking his nose. I wasn't proud of it, but it happened.

Ahhhh...Vintage RS-1's
Bowls were a change to calm the bass for people who didn't have proper amplification. RS1s were designed with flats. Bowls is revisionist history. Plug ANY rs1 into a good amp, and flats are the way to go.

Ahhhh...Vintage RS-1's
There were obviously pictures of both the "vintage" brown headband with box and the "semi-vintage" black headband.

Not designed with bowls.

That's a darn nice example of an old rs1.

I find that 90% of the people who are on tv qualify as hot. Beyond that, ugly, pretty, cute, quirky, etc, is all done with makeup.

It's blacker, has more buttons, and more channels, and less power per channel.

I think I may understand the confusion. You think music has a variable sound in the real world, so getting your brain used to your transducers is ok. I think music is supposed to sound on headphones as close as possible to what it sounded like when I recorded it live. So I'm a little more picky. That's not to say I'm a huge fan of senns. I owned a pair of 580s, liked them well enough, and sold them. But even the VTGs, which are among my favorite headphones ever, didn't sound quite right. It was a compromise I could live with for good closed phones, but in the end, I decided to let them move on. There really is a right and a wrong with sound. You may not mind wrong, but that doesn't make it right. You're welcome to that opinion, and in a lot of ways, I agree with it. There are a lot of variables in sound reproduction, and everyone picks the ones they care about. But there's a reason W5000s don't command the respect other ATH woodies do.

I think he' saying anything that takes an hour of adjustment time so that you don't hear the sucked out mids indicates a problem with the headphones. Your brain can get used to anything, but that doesn't make it right.

Omega watch advice?
I'm personally a big fan of invictas. If I was shopping for a $1000ish watch, I'd probably go with one of their swiss auto divers.

Master Tapes for everyone!
Mastering does matter with 16 bit depth tho. But if they just select the best 16 bits, instead of compressing, or overloading, you should have no trouble fitting any recording in that dynamic range.

Omega watch advice?
You can get breitlings and omegas in your price range at costco. Look good, run well, are durable. Modern watches are pretty darn reliable. The sapphire crystals both use are very durable, and are the main thing you get as a benefit when going to high line watches.
