  1. given that Yemen is a war zone, and they have to smuggle it out... for me to get Yemeni beans it's 3-4x more per pound to buy, and it's a trickier bean to roast correctly. It's also really hard to get in any kind of quantity. It's amazing to me that it's cheaper than Kona or Blue Mountain, and I think it's significantly better than either.
  2. happy birthday jeffy
  3. my roast, I have a few options...Indian Mysore (why I started roasting), some Guatemalan, some Bali Blue Moon, probably a few others.
  4. anyone interested, send me your address and I'll send you a half pound of my coffee.

  14. I'm not gonna try and tune the Yemen coffee for espresso, it'd waste way too much coffee. The pourover is amazing.
  15. he aims for the lighter end of medium roasts. It's a lot more fickle to all the variables in brewing coffee.

  20. he roasts at the light end of medium. I’ve loved every coffee I’ve gotten from him. I’d say it’s perfect for the chemex. My decent espresso machine is a good match in size for the niche. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
