I definitely use a finer grind with the aeropress than with my drip machine. It's a balancing act so that it's still possible to use the plunger but at a very slow rate. I tend to use 2-3 scoops.

you don't have to spend $600 on a machine. I spent like $40 on a steamer. Search for jp#s thread, or just ask him the model # Makes way more difference than a new phonostage, or cart, or table.
