If I were shopping for a plasma TV, I still think I'd stick with the panasonic recommendatoins that have been made repeatedly throughout this thread. That said, I'm still using my 6 year old 37" 720p set, so what do I know?
I recommend something with a bigger sensor just because the scale of things is so immense. Loan them a body and super wide, rent a 28-300 and 2x teleconverter.
I have all of them except the mac pro, but including the mini, but I won't own the pro. Of course, I also own the appletv, airport extreme, and airport express. And ipad mini.
I like that every other port was replaced with thunderbolt. Especially PCIe. It means legacy people can buy a cage, and new developers just go with TB.
because most people don't need them, and it's better to be able to add them to whatever computer, rather than have to have something specifically designed for it.
