Could? Sure. Question is always what they choose to do.

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31747_7-57537541-243/ipad-mini-vs-google-nexus-7-vs-amazon-kindle-fire-hd/ not according to cnet *edit* oh, didn't realize they reused the nexus 7 name. ipad is 18 grams heavier.

I mostly use my iPad for reading as well, and for me, weight matters more than hypothetically better pixel density. The iPad mini is as easy to read as any backlit device can be.
-
I've been using the iPad mini since the day it was released, and I've never noticed pixels, which tells me higher resolution would just use more memory and bandwidth.

I think a good pair of cards as overhead can get a good sense of space. (By good, I'm talking AKG 414, schoeps CMC4s, Neumann TLM170s, etc). I'd really have to like the room to add more than that. That said, there are a lot of great rooms out there.

My favorite way to record drums is a pair of great cardiods overhead in ORTF and a spot mic on kick and snare

My experience with the apple genius bar is they're great at solving normal problems and for approving hardware replacement. Way better than dealing with most companies' phone support for the same style problems. Given the general lack of cost associated with such support, that's about all that can be expected. $0 buys a lot more at an apple genius bar than it does from ibm support, for example. You definitely shouldn't expect anything that isn't solvable with a google search or a cookbook.

I was merely suggesting you take some time to learn our culture before coming across as an interloper. You obviously made your choice. Perhaps http://www.changstar.com, or http://www.head-fi.org, or maybe even http://www.hardocp.com I do appreciate the way you suggested some obscure headphones that no one here had ever heard before, tho. We were stuck obsessing on the latest Dr Dre headphones until you arrived.

I just read Divergent and Insurgent because I daughter was reading them. Better than the hunger games, reasonably entertaining. Not perfect stories but pretty good for YA fiction.

stubhub is market price. Sometimes it's way over face, sometimes it's close, and sometimes it's a big discount. Depends on the market. I've had good luck with day of show or day before show on ticketmaster (and stubhub) as well. Tickets get released, plans change, etc. There's also ticketmaster ticket exchange, which is more for sporting events generally.

well, mostly it means stick to smaller acts. Lots of good music to be had for <$50 a ticket. Just not many in major venues these days.

the various new apogee dacs that are ios compatible might finally be ready for prime time. You might want to give them a try... -
I used stubhub to get front row club seats for my daughter for Taylor swift and it was worth the premium to me. Way less hassle.

I did a slow 5 today. I really got out of shape in the last year.

I liked what I saw of oz, but it's been a long enough time that I couldn't talk in much detail about it.
