Looks like they ripped that straight out of a Larkburger location

But Wiggins is still going #1 next summer, right, Wayne?

Looks like fun in sunny Florida while the rest of the country is deep in winter gloom! Keep up the fun, guys!

And it's a hell of a lot more stable at this point than ICS or any iteration of JB was!

Wow Justin, here's to continued effective healing! Seeing that certainly doesn't make me want to ride down a steep trail any time soon, naw, I'll just stick to rock climbing, much safer!

Just took my Note 2 off stock, and onto an early CM11 (Kitkat) build yesterday, and wow! 4.4 is quite a nice functional upgrade from the last several, and the full-screen Google Now page integrated into the home screens has to be one of my favorite features. Using the Plasma Kernel, I've got access to all the features of the Wolfson DAC, and set up correctly, the phone sounds surprisingly good with my JH13's. Playing high-res stuff, it's not quite up to the level of the HM801 and 901, but closer than I ever would have expected from a phone.

Happy birthday JP! Wish I could sit down with you for a cold one tonight!

I'd never want to go back to universals. Sure, getting customs right can be a chore, but it's well worth the effort in my book. The fit, the comfort, the ease of putting them on, and the lack of messing with universal tips are all huge factors in why I strongly prefer customs.

Wow, glad to hear you've had such an ideal recovery!

After seeing how crammed full the Roxanne is, you can say that again!

Cheers Mikey and Chris! Happy belateds!

Good luck with the surgery, and hopefully you'll be back, good as new, before we know it!

Cool stuff, Gene. Be sure to show us some Z1 shots. The upgraded camera and weatherproofing of that phone definitely make it an appealing prospect. -
I was in a Verizon store yesterday as well, and looked the the Galaxy Camera. The thing was blazing hot to the touch, and the screen was blank, even though it was clearly on, lens extended, and would take pictures when the shutter button was depressed. Ergonomically it's not bad, but yeah, it's definitely a far cry from an idea convergence of phone and camera. I don't think the Sony QX line is really the answer, either. At that point, having to deal with a wireless connection, separate battery, and large clunky item to lug around in addition to my phone, I'd just as soon keep using an advanced compact linked to my smartphone via Eye-Fi, as I've done for quite a while. I think Nokia is the closest to the real answer, but who really wants a Windows Phone at this point? If the 1020 ran Android, I'd have been quite tempted to check it out. Big sensor, image stabilization, fast prime lens, and even RAW (on the upcoming successor model), along with a camera-grip accessory. When will we see a similar camera or better on an OS people actually care about (iOS or Android)? Who knows. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I looked at it a bit for you, Mike. Seems like you need to download and run the file from the first post in the following thread under "download" heading: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297900 Enable USB debugging on your phone (under developer options), connect your phone to the computer, install any relevant drivers (if necessary), and run the file you just downloaded. I think it should be fairly self-explanatory from the look of the software screenshot. If you're feeling a little brave, of course

Would have loved to catch up with you all, but I'll be in camped out in Joshua Tree NP that weekend, hopefully continuing to learn rock climbing while not coming home with any broken parts Have a great time, and I'll miss seeing you all!

I've yet to find an Android device that I couldn't root, some more difficult than others, of course. I wouldn't guess that the S4 is too bad, given how much ROM development there's been for it. I'd start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314494

Thanks guys! No hike, Ken, but I did end the day with Pliny

Thanks for the wishes, everyone! It's been an interesting year, and this next one is promising to be even more compelling. Thanks Al, by sheer happenstance, I was listening to a needledrop of that very album on my way to work this morning...good choice!

Hope you're having a great day, birthday buddy Carl!

Yeah, that's a pretty sweet deal. I'd be more willing to forgive the soap-bar handling and soft corner quality at that price -

I'd go handle it in person. For me, the big downside of the RX100 is that it was just too small (believe it or not) for me. I didn't find the handling comfortable or intuitive. In that regard I much prefer the handling of my Pansonic LX7, though the image quality and non-base-ISO belies its' smaller sensor, cheaper roots. Outside of handling issues the RX100's are pretty superb cameras, though the lens isn't as good as the sensor, if you're picky (mostly just corner softness at wide and tele from what I've seen). The AF is very quick, the menus well-organized, and the image quality/size ratio can't currently be beat (unless you start talking about the Ricoh GR and Nikon A, which both are fixed-lens).
