  1. Happy Birthday Nate!
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. Happy Birthday Colin!
  4. Nice! Glad to see nothing went boom:D
  5. Sweet Very curious about your thoughts on how it sounds.
  6. I'm looking for some options for a good encoder to use with the digital attenuator. Thanks PS. Very nice looking Marc
  7. Yeah. Those particular relays are just an example of what can work. Same foot print with 4.5V and low current (19x ohms for the Omron) would be fine.
  8. Payment sent. Thx.
  9. Looking good Marc! I owe you some part numbers. I'll get those out to you tonight.
  10. I just ordered some boards from them last Sunday and they arrived today. They were a mix of 1oz and 2oz copper. Amazing Sorry, different supplier. I read it too quickly. Good luck with boards and builds.
  11. I'd go with toroid or r-core.
  12. Looks nice John. Maybe a bit more venting on the bottom and possibly top. I found that the extra venting really helps. @joehpj - I've used a 400VA transformer running on by BH which has 25mA of current on each leg and I consider that a bit overkill. I would say 200VA should suffice and 300VA is more than enough for the Carbon at 20mA. Haven't built it yet, so I'd also like to hear what others have used.
  13. Happy birthday!
  14. nice! I've been thinking about switchers too. is that a new POT in there?
  15. You read my mind. I was looking for a project like this I'm at the early stages, but I'm planning on building some exotic speakers. More on that later.
  16. Nice. This build is definitely on my list, but with so many new projects I'm not sure how quickly I'll get to it. Enjoy
  17. Congrats! Enjoy
  18. Nice I was seeing between 9V and 12V dropout. That's awesome for an HV supply. That sets the AC360 perfect for a 450VDC output including the possibility of a 10% brownout.
  19. Good luck Birgir and best wishes!
  20. nicely done. Where did you get the case?
  21. I user them all the time. They are called counter bores. I made these.
  22. Wow. Sad about both, especially Natalie. RIP
  23. They are thin film 1206 .1% resistors. Here are two examples: TNPV1206820KBEEN, TNPW120661K9BEEA. The TNPV series is high voltage (700V). I had to break down resistors into two in some cases to get the proper voltage/power ratings. I could have used thick film but they are much noisier.
  24. Got the boards back and finished stuffing most of it. Here's some pics (forgive the phone pics and bad lighting).
  25. Very cool Kevin. I've modeled this as well and definitely want to build it. Thanks again for pushing us along
