I've occasionally missed out on the best coupons because they don't always send them to me. I've taken to frequenting this site (googled "borders coupon") when they send me an email, because they're almost always timed similarly.

Won't a dust particle get zapped and turned to ash? Just like an electrostatic air filter?

Steve Hoffman/Kevin Gray Blue Note Remasters to be Released on SACD!
Dusty Chalk replied to Voltron's topic in Music
I wish I could afford all of them. That's one of my wishlist players -- if I suddenly upped my income tenfold, I'd own that one in a heartbeat. It should at least be on your short list. And yeah -- DSD and PCM are two entirely different things. Theoretically, the HDMI spec also can carry DSD, but I haven't been following that closely, so I don't know if any products have been created yet. There's also a couple of Denon and Pioneer player/receiver combinations that have i.Link or equivalent digital transmission, but no external DAC per se (I think dCS also has separates; and maybe someone else -- Accuphase?). And it's more oriented towards surround-sound. Your best bet is to get a nice one-box player. Hey, I've been in touch with the guys from Electrocompaniet, and I've recommended that they show their universal player at CanJam. I sent them your way, I hope you don't mind. (Not sure if they'll follow my advice, though.) -

I thought this was going to be about the two dollar bill that I have stuck in my wallet.

No, he just very clearly stated your problem, and you totally missed it. Notice, in the example, that the rich dude actually does own the factory, and that the other guys would have no problem with him owning it. It's the flaunting in the face that's annoying. I.E. it's not the information -- factual, or otherwise -- it's the delivery. You're delivering it in asshat fashion. Whiney, egotistical, defensive, posturing, bullying, makes me want to you, fashion. So I guess the short answer to your question, aerius, is, 'yes'. This site has some cool smilies.

Best SS-amp Today; Cost NO Object?
Dusty Chalk replied to Contrastique's topic in Headphone Amplification
I can't believe no-one's posted the Headroom Max or the Headroom Balanced Max with Diamond Buffers yet. That's just ... inconceivable. Easily the best solid-state I've ever heard. The Beta 22 is right up there with it (I.E. a close second or third), but the amp-formerly-known-as-the-Blockhead is the best I've ever heard. At the very least, they deserve to be on the list. Of the list, I'd go with the Beta22, and even if you do without considering the Headrooms, you'd be fine for a very long time. Nice synergy with both the W3000 and the D5000. I think it could handle the Mr. Ed9 just fine. Except for maybe a maxed out KGSS, but that's an electrostat amp. -
DIY is fine, but I was thinking more along the lines of "sculpted to my actual head-case", to wit: But in lieu of that, I might use the plans you posted, so thanks! On a more serious note, thanks for posting that link, I'll probably use it when I get around to building the RF-(mostly)-proof walls for my studio.

Yeah, but it's $1300 I would have nickeled and dimed myself to spend on shoes and stuff that I don't really need.

Me: Jellybeans. I think the current flavors are "Burnt Children Flesh" and "Cockroach Toejam" * * Translated from the original Spanish, "el atasco del dedo del pie de la cucaracha".

Can I come and visit you when that is done?

Looks like a nice line-up; too bad I don't make "treks".

Which one, the HS50M? Yeezh. (They look too much like NS10's, for which I have an acquired loathing. Hopefully they don't sound like them.)

Since I'm too lazy, do this: use the preview function to find a combination of tags that work as spoiler tags, then post. I'd do it if I knew how, but I just don't know how. Or you could use Firefox for Head-Case, and IE7 for everything else, nothing says that you have to use one browser for everything -- I have Opera installed for exactly one site. Oh, and your other problem about being exposed to spoilers -- welcome to me, circa 2007. How do you think I became the spoilers nazi?

Have you read Death in Venice?

Does this mean I have 2 processors?
Dusty Chalk replied to Chekhonte's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
Well...sorry if I mislead you, I didn't think they had dual-core Pentium 4's, and I do know they have dual CPU motherboards, so I just assumed that's what you had. Isn't that true about everyone? The tech support is the "front line", so it will always be any tech companies main source of gripes. -
So they're easy to eat from either end, like a hot dog? I see no dilemma. The pull-tab is there for people who prefer pull-tabs, the messy end is there for people who like to eat messily. I feel no cognitive dissonance.

He could well have a motherboard with multiple chip slots. That's what I have.
