  1. Peter's Purple Chicken and couscous. (Peter's Purple chicken == marinating it in red wine while raw, then cooking it on the George Foreman grill.)
  2. I think you meant, 'Knights Templar' -- the Knights didn't own a templar. Paraskavedekatriaphobe.
  3. My condolences.
  4. I have heard metal done well...once. Local band, Garden of Shadows (who are several years defunct at this point). Some of the nicest metal on record, as well. Remember 06/07/08!!!1!
  5. Well, except the Stones spent much of the part of their career which overlapped with the Beatles aping what they had done with their previous album.
  6. So what's the decision? Sounded like we only have one choice. I think people can remember what they said from earlier in the day, and if they can't, wasn't important, neh?
  7. Jesus Zombie Christ, that's a lot of parts. What is it, a ladder DAC?
  8. Fanboy. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  9. Thanks, now I have that song stuck in my head. Angle vice, Angle vice, Every morning you greet me, Small and white, clean and bright, You look happy to meet me.
  10. Lack of clients sucks harder.
  11. I don't think that's what they mean by burn-in.
  12. No, not latin. Variation (dialect) of the past tense of, "to eat", as in, "I et them fritters, ma". linky -- and you criticized spelling, not sensibility. I was just saying that he we spelled words correctly, not that they made any sense. http://www.imeem.com/noavamix/music/eOwoWosz/yello_do_it/]http://www.mattscdsingles.com/acatalog/14327.jpg[/img
  13. No, my cat wouldn't do that. She'd hiss and spit and bite and claw until she was let go, then run away. There's no way she'd tolerate being held in place like that. That's why I said "stereotypical" -- the one that ignores all commands. The one from the "what cats hear" Far Side cartoon. EDIT: I should add: my cat loves having her face rubbed, so I understand exactly why that cat is doing that. That part she might tolerate.
  14. "Dew" and "et" are both proper English words.
  15. Oh yeah: Dew. Et. See, now you're just making it sound more enticing.
  16. I think you should take one for the team and buy this. And then report back.
  17. Both of these statements are incorrect. Their entire catalog has been overplayed, which is why I don't listen to them. The songs I listen to -- even the Beatles-y ones -- have not, which is why I choose to listen to non-Beatles songs over Beatles songs every time. No other reason. I will not argue over the quality of their song-writing, their musicianship, their ear for pop sensibility, nothing. Only the fact that I -- that's me, no-one else -- have heard too many of their songs too many times. The correct answer is Elvis.
  18. Hilary Hahn Helene Grimaud Stolen Babies Diablo Swing Orchestra Mike Oldfield Klaus Schulze Vangelis (that's in no particular order) Nate: good list -- I've seen: Dresden Dolls, Opeth, Epica, and Sigur Ros off that list, and they were all excellent live. I missed Metric by (holds fingers together less than a centimeter apart) that much.
  19. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. (The lottery is loaded -- just concentrate on making lots of money at a job you enjoy, and it'll be like winning the lottery. That's the way I look at it.) I've got my fingers crossed for you.
  20. Pretzel is always an option
  21. Anti-exercise cat (and before you watch it, think about how you think a stereotypical cat would react to a treadmill, and you'd probably come up with this): YouTube - Lazy cat on treadmill
  22. Lollers.
