RSA B52 or Single Power ES1?
I agree with everything that's been said above: neither; TTVJ 307a or Headamp something (too bad if the BHSE is finished with taking orders, I just heard it for the first time today, and he has really outdone himself); and still neither. Also, I know nothing of headphone soundstage.

Post the last thing you bought!
No, because then there'd also be flea powder.

DC/Baltimore Regional Meet, August 2nd
Are you guys in Gaithersburg all going to ride down together and back up? If no-one is going to need a ride from me, then I'll take the metro/walk to get there. I'll assume that's the case, but invitation remains extended for me to drive anyone back that needs it -- you just have to let me know before I leave (the Brickskeller, that is). If you're all going to drink, then I could probably figure out a way to get my car over to Brickskeller later to drive 3 or 4 of you home (3 comfortably, 4 less so, but manageable). I don't intend to drink this evening. If it's not too inconvenient, I wouldn't mind my shirts, so that I can wash the sizing out of them this evening and wear one of them tomorrow. Please, but not a big deal if you don't feel like dealing with it tonight.

Happy Birthday Indra!
Little birdies are win. Happy Birthday, Indra, so are you legal yet? In your country? In this country? In any country? <-- See, being a pervert, and you know it (clap your hands).

$1000 speaker rig, what would you get?
Probably because we're confused by another thread that said they were for a desktop system. Actually, Mackie came out with a tiny little version of their biggest selling mixer -- the 402VLZ3 -- that could be used as a preamp, for only US$100.

It depends on how much time is worth to you. It's certainly not necessary. UNLESS YOU HAVE A NEED FOR SPEED!!!1! Which I do.

help between headoom harbeth and avi ADM9
I have zero experience with either, but from what I've read, this is one of those "you can't go wrong" choices -- they both will probably sound very good. (I tend to like Hi-Fi Choice's reviews.) But..you're talking systems, right? Because the Headroom Harbeth system comes with amps, and the AVI's are active, right?

The Headcase pico Lovefest: Post your impressions here
I have to admit, the Shures that I used to use sounded distinctly better with an outboard amp, but I have since switched to not commuting...I mean, to Etymotic ER-6i's, which sound quite good without additional amplification.

The Headcase Stax thread
Not likely.
