  1. Sounds like a party.

They're probably burning in. Or maybe your listening "center of balance" is drifting into alignment. Try turning them around and see if the center goes the other way.
  3. Is it possible it could be an OEM type thing, like the ICE amps?
  4. I have been buying a lot of imports lately. After you find the item on another site, look for it again on the domestic site -- there are lots of places like Caiman and importcd's that sell the disk through the amazon shops, albeit still new. And I've had nothing but the best of luck with them.
  5. Was it not a public domain design? Practically all circuits already exist at this point, the trick with any amp manufacturer is to put your own flavor on it (without violating intellectual property rights, of course). Which is what I thought everyone -- including Mikhail -- does.
  6. I think it looks hot, in a spectacular sci-fi chick wearing a foil cape as an extra on Dr. Who kind of way. I haven't heard any reviews that said sound alone makes it worth the price without modding and/or tuberolling. But I still intend to get one when I win the lottery -- I think it will go with my O'Heocha D2 speakers.
  7. There's a school for that?

What amp are you using, again?
  9. apparently there're some problems with the new 3G chip
  10. Dude, you really need to discover some Kylie Minogue. The album Body Language is a particular favorite of mine. The video for the song, "Slow" cracks me up: Also Pink, her first album, Can't Take Me Home -- check out the track, Hell Wit Ya: Annie, Anniemal -- "Chewing Gum":
  11. Yes, and quite possibly. (The two not being mutually exclusive.)
  12. Artist: Rob Dougan Song: "Drinking Song" Album: Furious Angels Lyric:
  13. Gold knobs are hot.
  14. Also, he left out the unusual things like eating pavement -- so he didn't do that today.
  15. The SA8001 is awesome, but since I have no experience with the CD5001, I have no idea how large or small a step up it would be for you. But you get SACD, and that, in itself, will be a pretty nice step up. Is there any way you could try it on a return policy from a local store or something? I say: dew et.
  16. Sell the CD5001, then you'll be able to afford the Cambridge Audio Azur 840c, neh?

  18. I had a similar thought. Cat would approve.
  19. Which makes me somewhere between 23 and 30, I think? And you did say, "around".
  20. Which was somewhere around 2006-02-24. Moose, checking in. Oh, and:
  21. (party favor noise) Happy Birthday, Grape Ape!
  22. What's wrong with you? That's like porn to some of us. Naked equipment is awesome. How about the AudioValve look, do you like them? I would guess that that would be the perfect happy medium -- you can still see the gear, but the external shell is nicely esthetic as well.
