So today's gold box deal is a first gen iTouch 16G: two hundra dolla Almost worth it. I suspect less than anyone here paid for a new one or refurb.
  3. At least. It'd be a fun exercise to go through and add up how many minutes of watching that is. E.G. Legend of the Twilight -- 300 minutes Berserk -- 623 minutes Megazone 23 -- 255 minutes Naughty Nurses -- 60 minutes Neon Genesis Evangelion -- 650 minutes Amazing Nurse Nanako -- 180 minutes Silent Mobius -- 650 minutes ... etc. ...or should we just assume an average of...say, 333 minutes each? ...x28 ~= 10,000 minutes of anime?
  4. Drove. Ate. Drove home.
  5. That's a kind of bizarre mix of features. I wonder how much data (in minutes/seconds) one can fit on 16G w/DSD...?
  6. Jesus Christ that's a lot of anime.
  7. I use an $80 Buck as my EDC. I've been told to get a Kershaw. Re: plain edges -- they're the easiest to sharpen, and they don't collect crap at the points.

Yeah, YouTube's embedding does not work quite right.
  9. Pfff. I got some serious slacking off I have to catch up on this weekend.

  11. Ah, so it's the lack of logic that causes the screen to appear.
  12. website The short write-up in December's issue of Hi-Fi Choice says, "...by using CRT technology, these valves can be run at a lower power and offer significantly improved lifespans." That'd be the part that got my attention.
  13. No, I think he's saying, "Oh, hey, look at that!" "In your dreams..." "Yah, pretty much."
  14. No, I was just talking about your attitude. Go to your happy place.

  16. I second both of these -- you need to figure out the problem with your amp, fix it and test it with known good tubes -- new production is fine -- and then once you fix the amp, check your extant tubes to see if they're really broken.
  17. It's not necessarily the last post, with the peanut gallery we have here. I think you need to relax your uptightedness on this topic.
  18. I do believe that already exists ... and is illegal.
  19. Just received it, in gorgeous packaging.
  20. I'd love to -- it is certainly something within my capabilities -- I just don't have the time.
  21. Let's go back to my theory -- sounds like you're having connection problems at the pins/socket of the tubes. If you are, that will kill tubes. So that's what I think your problem is, as I've said before. Hirsch uses a silver coating to make sure each pin gets a good solid contact with its corresponding socket, you may want to try something like that (but be careful not to create a connection between adjacent pins, etc.).
