  1. No, the way you're describing it sounds like it's going too far. I mean, don't get me wrong, when I say you need to match your consumption with your exertion, the obvious way to do that is to increase your exertion -- I.E. get some exercise. And also to eat more balancedly. But 800 calories is ridiculous -- even Weight Watchers will tell you not to go overboard like that. I mean, these blind numbers like "1500 calories to maintain your weight" is ridiculous. How much exercise are you getting with that diet? And don't try and tell me it doesn't matter, 'cause it does. Someone who's sedentary and gets no exercise will have different dietary requirements than someone who walks three times a week will have different dietary requirements than Michael Phelps, who basically exercises non-stop, so his dietary requirements are fairly high.
  2. Yes...yes you did. And for that I am grateful.
  3. Ooooh...ModWright caps...
  4. Yeah, except the max vertical resolution is 1200 on anything less than 30", whereas the max vertical resolution on the high-pixel 30" one is 1600. Yes, I realize that's not much, so it's not a deal-killer, just a point of contention. Porbably won't get the ultra-high-pixel one, at this point.
  5. Yeah, never mind -- I == dolt -- the ones I recognized weren't anything special so I (incorrectly) extrapolated that the other ones were "restaurant grade" as well. Don't get me wrong, I still drink the mediocre stuff. But now that I've had the good stuff, I doubt I'll be buying any more, once it's gone.
  6. That's the way I usually buy them.
  7. I think it's mostly domestic shit that annoys him.
  8. Incorrect. If you starve your body, it automatically tries to store the calories as fat. You need to match your consumption to your exertion.
  9. steak and couscous
  10. I am not a tequila connoisseur, but tequila is probably my single favorite liquor. I didn't even know you could drink it straight (I usually drink it with orange juice, grenadine, and whatnot), until recently -- someone let me try a really good one. I also see a lot of the ones I've had before (which I previously thought were good, but aren't drinkable straight up) in your collection. Methinks you need to get more connoisseurish.
  11. Or maybe it was all 5 of them.
  12. I'm going to be zero help here, but: I like LightScribe.
  13. No, it's true. I have little human interaction in my job. Although I suspect I listen to a lot more albums than you do, because I got my success rate down to below 50%. The trick is to listen to moar music. When I first moved in with my current housemate, we played Scrabble pretty much every night for the first half year. We played online so I could listen to my music while we played.
  14. Now there's a platform I can get behind.
  15. I thought a zap filter was a ...erm...a thing -- who installed the zap filter?
  16. Yeah, but only 3 funny ones.
  17. I wouldn't go that far -- I happen to like Sony's implementation of DSD. Sony Insider reports: Anyone read Japanese?
  18. Yeah, but you need a baransudodejitaru-compatible system for that one. It appears they lied. I think what's special about this one is that it transmits DSD over HDMI, but can't seem to find corroboration.
  19. What if you painted balsa wood with little fake birds eyes?
  20. Black matches anything.
  21. Changed, not fixed. DIY is always the cheaper way to go -- I meant, of the commercially available options, that QED was one of the better price/performance ratio performers that I've heard.
  22. QED is another reasonably priced option.
