I just did something I haven't done in a while: I completely rewrote a fairly complex bit of code, and once I got it to compile, I got it to work on the first try. No intermediary testing, no bugs, just compilation errors, and fixed those fairly quickly.
I just want to say that I'm so glad that this story came up randomly. I'm going to be smiling all day. And I'm only allowed to find it funny because (a) you do, ( it's in hindsight and we know he survived.
Haven't seen it. (Yes, I've seen a lot of movies, and yes, there's a weird cross-section right down the middle of ones I haven't. Pretty much everyone I meet that loves movies as much as I wants to fix that.)
