  1. Well, obviously it should be called RMHF (or RMHPF).
  2. Wait, what?
  3. Debuting at RMAF 2009:
  4. Mike Oldfield, The Killing Fields
  5. I have two versions of QE2 on vinyl when the record came out, and the only difference between the two is the cover art. The merkin version is glossy, but without the porthole cutout, the British version (which, to my mind, is superior), is matte and has the cutout. So I'd have to say yes.
  6. John Palumbo/Crack the Sky, "Too Cold to be Cool" Mike Oldfield, "The Trap" -- b-side that could have been an out-take from the wonderful Killing Fields. An exercise in dissonance, to be sure, but the most beautiful exercise ever executed.
  7. I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I vaguely remember it being related to revolutions, not inches (I.E. the integral of angular momentum, not linear momentum). It might depend on the model, but of the ones I've worked with (which, admittedly, was a long time ago), if memory serves, etc.
  8. Oldfield's QE2 on YouTube for a quick fix -- talking about it made me need to hear it nao.
  9. QE2 is awesome. I totally dig the Blue Man Group -like drumming on tracks like Celt and Conflict, as well as the opening track Taurus I, Mirage, and the title track. In fact, I even recommended Blue Man Group on an Oldfield emailing list as "...if you like QE2, you should try...". And I agree with you about Killing Fields as well, of course. I probably listen to that more than any other album of his (!).
  10. Awesome doggy. Awesome pic of him stopping at the side of the road to smell the flower.
  11. No.
  12. My senior citizen cat loves when I rub her gums. Oh, and I received this in an email, it was supposed to help as instructions on how to medicate a cat:
  13. Chop't Steakhouse Salad + olives Their employees were wearing an embroidered polo shirt with just the stylized two-handled Mezzaluna knife that they use to chop their salads with: ...it ends up looking like a smiley.
  14. Oops.
  15. Yeah, this will be the first male cat for which I am the responsible adult for him losing his reproductive abilities as well. I feel so guilty, and yet, I will still do it, because I believe in spaying and neutering. And that's a good point about pet health insurance -- any particular reason you like that one? I'm thinking I should probably get pet health insurance as well. Mine just tested positive for worms. :\
  16. Depends on the thickness of the walls. When I had a townhouse in Laurel (endcap, so only one adjacent neighbor who was actually connected to ours), the only time we had a problem was when we cranked it. Normal listening levels were never a problem.
  17. What was (were) the search term(s)? "Sexy", perhaps? EDIT: Yes, I think "sexy" is the right search term -- model people having model sex for model railroads. 's'awesome.
  18. Fair point (and agreed that they are different), I will see if I can figure out a way to make that comparison.
  19. Absolutely not, you let us know up front you're with the company, which is all we ask (it's the difference between shilling and just responding responsibly). You may get labelled as a MOT (Member Of the Trade), though (so you don't have to announce yourself every time you post).
  20. It is about telling the difference, if you can. And I'll leave it at that.
  21. Sympathies, Vicky.
  22. Exquisite! (at the same does the Italian fingers together thing to indicate pleasure)
  23. I miss my reel-to-reel.
