Gun Sub-forum...
I meant that we didn't have an ongoing one, but yeah, we are certainly not short of enthusiasts and other potential audience members. And my previous post was more negative than I intended -- what I really meant was, go ahead and have discussions, we don't need a sub-forum to discuss these things. If we have enough discussion, then we'll consider making the sub-forum.

What are you listening to Part Two
Yes x 2. Thanks.

Will do, thanks.

With what existential crisis are you grappling right now?
I think the court clerk was close enough to stop me.

Being a programmer (probably my main forte, for those that think I'm a goofball at everything), I approve. Will definitely be following this closely.

Gun Sub-forum...
Dudes, we don't even have a gun thread. Perhaps if it was discussed more, it'd be conceivable. As it is, I don't see it.

With what existential crisis are you grappling right now?
I have a question: what the hell is wrong with me? I'd like to have an answer the next time someone hits me on the back of the head and asks me that.

Welcome linuxworks -- I doubt you'll have to worry too much about your thin skin or ducking shovels, but be aware that they fly about quite a bit, willy nilly even. Yes, people are virtually flayed (and filleted) here. So...sorry if you have a weak stomach to observe such things, even if from the sidelines.

Post the last thing you bought!
First of all, hurray! But what I meant was, I didn't think you believed in high-end caps such as BlackGates and wax and oil and stuff, not that you didn't believe in building stuff for yourself.

Anything interesting to do around Scranton, PA?
linky I was just in Philadelphia, and thoroughly enjoyed the Eastern State Penitentiary (famous for being one of the first real jails designed to instill penitence), but I don't know if it's worth taking 5 hours out of your day to do. I'd avoid Centralia.

PS Some really delicious tone on that bass. Anneke van Giersbergen & Danny Cavanagh, In Parallel -- acoustic live set, lotta covers (Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, really?)

(a) I kind of hate people who make it look so easy; ( They kind of rock; © Who is she reminding me of, vocally? Specifically that semi-high note that she hits about 0:15-0:16? And then again when she's harmonizing with herself ~0:40-0:46? (d) She is easy on the eyes, isn't she? (e) What headphones are they using?

Now you tell me. I deliberately bought synthetic, too.

slow forum
My co-worker is so funny. He broke his middle finger. So he's showing everyone The Finger, and telling people that because of it, he can't drive.

I was thinking from the candles and THE FIREPLACE.

It just seems a waste of some mad skills for something that's just going to melt.

And this is for yourself? I thought you didn't believe in that stuff, or is that only silver cable?

What did you do today?
Nearly died -- on top of giving myself food poisoning (I think -- by eating way too old mustard on a samich), I inhaled a pill (rather than swallowing it -- I.E. I tried to ingest it through my lungs). 2 minutes of scary coughing in the middle of a parking lot, alone, it came up. Fortunately, the gel cap outer shell hadn't broken yet, because then I would have been inhaling powder, which would have been an order of magnitude more nasty. All is fine now, but throat is raw. I'm going to be coughing all day.

That's some seriously nice interior decorating for an igloo.

Actually, my box was empty. I suspect it was something later, like 498 or 499, though -- I was definitely in the last batch, so somewhere in there.

Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells, the 2009 remaster -- BLISS!

What are you listening to Part Two
Ditto on the Neil Finn/7 Worlds Collide -- thanks for mentioning it. Been listening to a lot of Voivod in the car, forgot how much I loved (most of) their stuff.

Indeed. Uh...where is it supposed to be autographed? I have mine autographed on the COA, but was expecting it on the actual album cover somewhere. Not that it matters, just curious.

In my defense, I was "making fun", not "complaining". Yes, windy city is windy. And snowy and cold. But I also have many fond memories of the area (mostly Evanston).
