  1. Oo-oo, I need to hear. Wait, what if I loved their last album?
  2. That roast looks perfect. Me: Key Lime & Jalapeno chips:
  3. I particularly enjoyed today's Olbermann. Gosh I hope that makes it into the next Auto-Tune The News.
  4. You can always talk to god:
  5. Is there a list of all headphones that have the HD580/600/650 style connectors? I know it's bass-ackwards, but I kind of wouldn't mind being able to browse said list. I can't seem to find my HD250-II's anywhere, and I think it's the only one I have left of that style. (I ran across it recently, so it's not completely gone, just haven't been able to find it since then.)
  6. Ah, so you were more well lubricated in those days?
  7. Beethoven Symphonies 5 & 6 "Pastoral" RCA Living Stereo SACD
  8. Or you could just budget extra in for the customs, shipping, and potential shipping in case of return or repair.
  9. What? Why?
  10. No, I meant that one.
  11. What's a Vulcan? This?
  12. But I do have plans. I just have different plans. Plus, if my car craps out, I'm SOL.
  13. There's probably a lot of people that had plans today. And Jacob's busy putting socks on his mother's feet. And there's probably at least one person who is still reading and decyphering scrypt's post.
  14. Good catch, I didn't even see that part of the post. Could probably make this a whole separate thread, but I won't unless there are enough posts to merit it. The definitive electro-industrial album to have, if you have no other -- I have to agree with Dark Angel about this -- is Skinny Puppy, Singles Collect. I think it's no coincidence that this is one of my top 3 favorite groups of all time. Yes, really, even with the brapping. Metal Industrial Crossover -- Nine Inch Nails, Broken is a good place to start -- also Pretty Hate Machine was a launching point for a lot of us at the time. I also really dig The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste by Ministry (as well as Land of Rape and Honey). "Industrial" will always garner arguments, as there are at least 3 different styles with that name. There's the Wax Traxy dance industrial done all on synthesizers and sequencers -- and Skinny Puppy; there's the metal industrial crossover stuff, and there's the old school (early Einsturzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle, etc.). There was even a metal label who called a lot of their acts as "industrial", though it didn't really sound machine-like to my ears at all. So after you listen to some, tell us which you really like and want to hear more of. Will post about metal later.
  15. Yeah, I know, I was just linking directly to his post, just in case anyone only read the first page and thought it was about him rather than by him. And -- oo -- I got mentioned by name. I cried a little. Might have to log in and respond. I don't think he understands that people aren't just daunted by his vocabulary or by his sense of humor, but because they actually misunderstand him, I.E. they hear something other than what he's saying. I know, to the rest of us, it's like, "no shit", but I really don't think he gets that. I am reminded how much I miss him. God. Damn.
  16. Well...by "joke" I mean that one is not obliged to use them, as with other parts; not that they aren't real. I have no doubt that you are entirely serious about the knobs.
  17. One of the benefits of buying ancient-looking gear is that you can get away with, "that old thing? I've had that forever..."
  18. Jesus -- epic win, indeed.
  19. No, it did not sound that cold and sterile on the BHSE that I heard (meet conditions, etc.).
  20. Wow, that etching photographs really well.
  21. Wasn't it recently stated that you can work your penis into anything?
  22. Moar drinking?
  23. 5 free classical MP3's from "100 Best"
  24. So, kinda like a triathalon, except different, but still just as trying/tiring?
  25. (a) Technically, it's just ohGr (Ogre & Mark Walk, the latter before he joined Skinny Puppy...p'rhaps), but ( thanks for mentioning that, looks like the tracks are exclusive to that soundtrack, so now I must find it.
