Happy birthday, Chris! (party favour noise)

Happiest of birthdays, Mikey! (party favour noise)

Tidal is killing it with recommendations right now. RPWL, Pineapple Thief, Riverside, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Archive, Blackfield, etc.

In.

That wouldn’t put me off it one iota.

I am totally addicted to this set. I listen to it at least once a day. Here it is isolated. 40 + minutes of jaw dropping talent:

The first track might be the most upbeat track they've ever done. https://spceco.bandcamp.com/album/11-ep-nov-ep

I’ve been listening to Flummox all weekend. Freaking lit! RIYL Mr. Bungle, Zappa, speed rockabilly, Unexpect. Starts at 5:02:00, 40+ minute set, which I spent alternating between jaw dropped, giggling, and weeping for how crazy great it is. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/787893916?t=18097s

Oh jeez!

Continuing Festival of Ghouls: Standouts: Flummox at 5:02:00 (crazy talented Zappa-esque 6-piece) You Bred Raptors? at 6:16:25 (cello, 8-string bassist, and drummer) Fable Cry at 6:57:00 (dark cabaret with a full vampire and murder story in the video) ...plus I won a really delightful almost black-cat-looking poster right before Flummox.

Currently: ...which is all kinds of wonderful. She started out by playing St. James Infirmary, something I've been listening to a lot, lately, and is currently playing a version of Time in a Bottle.

Donnie Darko with some imaginary friends. Was watching Devin Townsend the last two nights -- another crazy great performer who is both virtuosic and enjoys what he does.

Condolences, Fitz. Those hit hard.

Yeah, looked it up, will definitely be pursuing this. https://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-quick-pickle-any-vegetable-233882

Yeah, that combination of virtuosity and glee slays me. Jacob Collier is a favourite for the same reasons. Here is the Snarky Puppy video. And it is a great keyboard solo.

Why, because she plays Nord bleepy bloopy boxes? 😜 Actually, yes I really like her choice of synthesizers. Someone elsewhere posted a Snarky Puppy video and said something to the effect of, “greatest keyboard solo”, and I was thinking that pretty much every one of her solos from that concert was better. She is crazy great. I will post said Snarky Puppy video.

Crazy good jazz fusion

I already finished the first batch of pickles and bought more. This time I bought the hot and the Italian dill. So good! Looked at ingredients and the list is fairly short, many items I already have. How easy are pickles to make? I want to make my own variety, especially with my favorite rocoto peppers, or at least red hot cherry peppers and Thai or Korean peppers. Cleanliness is the key ingredient, right?

No worries, I deserved it. Ffr, there are gifs for that.

You're JONESing for more QUINCY?

Snack?

Happy belated, Marc! (party favour noise)
