  1. This, again. Addictive. This is one of those "favorite track is whichever one I am currently listening to" albums.
  2. (a) It's only a "bit of a bummer", not a deal-killer. ( It's not so much the laziness issue as the organizational issue of keeping the disk handy.
  3. "No hard feelings." LOL

I hope he realizes that one cannot reproduce with that thing. Boy is he in for a disappointment otherwise.

Okay, that's just not right -- you just couldn't have this sentiment unless you're an otaku: ...or maybe a pharoah.
  6. Explicitly, no. See above link -- you're essentially right, but it also appears to have something to do with their extant agreement with Microsoft (so it's probably some loophole in an aspect of the agreement that was intended to prevent competition). Bit of a bummer. I appreciate it being mentioned -- forewarned is forearmed and all that.

I'll start: Inu (contemporary indie/alternapop, new project from former Halou member)
  8. Wait, you can mix colors, too?!?!? Dinny, that idea sounds seriously hawt, and not just because you chose black as the common-making color. And I bet you can choose colors much closer together, and your mind will still be able to tell them apart, if you want.

So...she's cheating on him with all the other guys who got the same dating game?
  10. Really? That's a pretty pathetic design choice. Or is that some sort of DRM -related thing?
  11. ...and the B&W Zeppelin, and the Manley Stingray thing, and Fatman iTube, and all the zillions of other integrated amp + iPod dock combos.
  12. Definitely try the angle thing. Orthogonal interaction vs. parallel interaction will make a big difference for little effort. Also, try staggering it (inspired by the asymmetrical umbilical).
  13. It's having thousands of dollars cubic centimeters invested in DACses preventing you from buying something else you want that's a problem?

Were these the ones that ran smaller than intuition implied?
  15. Ouch, that's gotta hurt. Twice.
  16. Yeah, I dig 'em too. Though I don't know if I'd want to warm them up -- not to say that they're already warm, they aren't, I'd just want to complement their strengths which are frequency extension and detail (modded X-CanV2 did the trick alright). But if that's what you want, then go for it. Haven't listened to them out of any of my tube amps recently, will give them a try later.
  17. Wait, what? What day of the year?
  18. Well, they have the ES (high end) line(s?) and the R10 & Qualia (statement) lines. Don't know about currently, though.
  19. I'm wondering if there's a way that you can shield one from the other. Ground a sheet of tin foil between the two? EDIT: Colin beat me to another point that I just thought of -- well, maybe I had the thought because I read Colin's post...but yeah -- inverse square law comes to mind.
  20. Really tempted to get the Anchor seasonal brew "Magnum" (silly big bottle -- looks like a prop on the set of the New Year's Eve countdown on television).
  21. I'm just trying to be...what's the opposite of "enabling" -- "...disabling"? "...disenabling"? "...disarming"?
  22. He looks cold. Also, oddly reminiscent of a certain Gary Numan album cover (Berserker).
  23. No, it's having thousands of dollars invested in DACses preventing you from buying something else you want that's a problem.
  24. Incorrect. You only need one good one (per setup, that is).
