  1. So apparently, I just found this out today earlier -- sorry, to everyone who bought one -- these are bad. See, in particular, the third one-star review in which he states that the motors die on these way too quickly. Also, apparently (not stated in the one-star reviews, though it should) the motor is right under the watch, so it magnetizes the watch, and then the watch stops keeping accurate time.
  2. Incorrect. So incorrect. Jesus, Sherwood, that thing is beautiful. Seriously considering picking up the bass, myself. I love bass, and I don't just mean the frequencies.
  3. I'd second giving the Grado a try -- do you like Grado headphones? John Grado likes his gear to accentuate the female human voice, I vaguely remember reading somewhere, so it's bumped up right at the frequencies you like. (It'd be the same as the headphones, if you've heard them.)
  4. Not if you're Joshua Bell, apparently. For some reason I'm reminded of a Burt Reynolds skit from SNL, where he played...Burt Reynolds, visiting a fan at his home. Ends up sleeping with her...and her sister...with the parents' permission. I think that was Burt Reynolds, anyway. EDIT: "...his home..." -- Freudian slip? ...her home...
  5. Oh she's so cute! Somehow I missed that pic the first time through this thread. (I'm betting I missed the second page when I responded, and that triggered the second page as having been read.)
  6. Shure SRH840 -- they fold, they're probably not as lightweight as you'd like, and the band across the top can be uncomfortable if you're sensitive, but I've been living in mine and am very happy with them. They also isolate very well. Go to Northern Light & Sound for a potentially lower price (send them a request for quote) than what you see everywhere else on the net.
  7. There's no such thing as scary stuff to Dusty anymore.
  8. Since when have automatic gratuities gone from 15% to 20%? Or is that restaurant dependent?
  9. That's awesome! (Steve Jobs doll) How's yours, Juan?
  10. Looks like my information is a little out of date -- I'd listen to everyone else before you listen to me. Hell, even I'm not going to listen to me -- I'm going to go out and investigate dbpoweramp -- is there a linux version?
  11. (Audacity being the best option for "free".)
  12. x2 ...including iPhone/iTouch. It does exist on Windows / haven't tried it. Also: Linux.
  13. It's both, ackshully.
  14. LOL @ Shane: He goes down a step @ 1:02. Doug Pinnick is not losing any sleep.
  15. Oh, I don't understand it at all, I just like the bouncing boobies. Of course, these days, 50% of the girls look pre-pubescent, which does nothing for me.
  16. I love fashion. But this year's theme appears to be "Saw VII: Doing it In Public":
  17. You fucker, Remain in Light was bad enough, now I have nonsense stuck in my head.
  18. Growth hormones.
  19. doughnuts
  20. Beethoven Piano Sonatas a la Rubinstein, RCALSSACD
  21. No, no, I'm not asking -- I just assumed that was the reason, knowing him (he's usually very generous with his designs). Just fishing I guess -- certainly he is entitled to do whatever he wants with his intellectual property.
  22. "New Wave / Black Metal / Hard House " "Normand L'amour has 2839 friends." I like the catwoman. I like how it looks like there's 6 porn stars girly-girls, one musical group, and Tom.
  23. So there's no plans for a commercial product? That would be the best reason not to reveal the schematic.
