  1. I could probably get a fake BJ from a fake BJ provider, but I think I'd rather just do without.
  2. I need an animated gif of this, quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen, ever:
  3. Sandwiches are much easier to change their damping -- just spritz them with water.
  4. Any opinions on Stuhrling in general? They have some skeletons and some "open heart" watches (skeleton with less showing) with maybe just enough black for my tastes that I'm looking at.
  5. "split tail" ER6i for US$63 -- easily the lowest price I've ever seen for them new.
  6. Also, looks like Dollhouse (season one, presumably) will be on sale in about an hour. Don't know if it will be the DVD or the Blu-Ray, though. Might be the VHS...
  7. Oh, okay, (wipes brow...which ends up looking just like...) It was shiny and black, so I just thought...I made sure it had the SACD compatability, but wasn't aware that not all PS3's could have linux loaded onto it, so did not check that at all. Dinny -- the honest answer is, "I'm not sure". It's a computer, so the possibilities are endless, but I don't know what non-game utilities are available via standard deployment options other than streaming, which, as has already been said, is certainly available elsewhere. EDIT: Well, apparently you can do Folding@home if that interests you at all. (The CPU inside this thing is unholy powerful. Folding@home is that technology that allows your computer to utilize idol clock cycles contributing to searching for the cure for cancer.)
  8. It's in a box tucked away until I get some time to myself. It'd be easier if I could find the ad...hold on...this one. Why wouldn't I be able to load linux onto it? It's a computer, it's just a matter of hitting it with the right hammer, innit? (wanders off to do some research -- helpful links would not go ignored)
  9. Pfff, I have no idea. It would say, "slim", wouldn't it? I don't think the ad said slim, but I don't remember correctly all the time.
  10. No, it can also loosen the bass, for example. Think of it from the perspective of a forced, simple harmonic oscillator -- let's say you want critical damping -- "stretching out" the cone will take the damping to a different value. So yeah, it could go either way -- it's just that, my experience with the DT990 is that burn-in doesn't make that kind of difference. You're welcome to try it yourself -- you should always try it yourself. It just won't.
  11. What does your crystal ball say about newer technologies, such as OLED's?
  12. It won't. Go ahead, but it won't.
  13. I bought one and I'm not a gamer at all. But I should explain to you that I have very specific plans for it (hack a linux partition onto it, etc.). And 's'truth about current gen not playing SACD.
  14. Chartreuse
  15. That's because your humidity detector hadn't been triggered yet.
  16. I hate when that happens -- could've gotten a 37" Sharp 1080p LCD for $370, now it's up to almost twice that.
  17. Hulu - Dollhouse: Trailer: the Public Eye@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.hulu.com/embed/ktcm3t5dSQd6wbSlppPuag@@AMEPARAM@@ktcm3t5dSQd6wbSlppPuag Summer Glau...special "2 hour event"...can't wait.
  18. Virgil Fox, Encores, RCALSSACD
  19. This, again. Addictive. This is one of those "favorite track is whichever one I am currently listening to" albums.
  20. (a) It's only a "bit of a bummer", not a deal-killer. ( It's not so much the laziness issue as the organizational issue of keeping the disk handy.
  21. "No hard feelings." LOL
  22. I hope he realizes that one cannot reproduce with that thing. Boy is he in for a disappointment otherwise.
  23. Okay, that's just not right -- you just couldn't have this sentiment unless you're an otaku: ...or maybe a pharoah.
