  1. Not just warranty, but if there's no factory, you can't actually send it back to the factory for repair, if it gets to that point. Someone would need to stockpile spare parts, too, for those that need replacing.
  2. Oh shit! Wayne...my man! That made me loller. The timing...good god...
  3. Reuben from the cafeteria downstairs...blah blah blah...cute girl is cute...blah blah blah...
  4. I'm thinking home theater installation products, like inwall headphones speakers.
  5. "prototype" -- Yes, it's (currently) one of a kind. "...floating..." -- ah, nice, clear and accurate even for the pedants (I.E. me). EDIT: Well, I thought it was clear -- I took "floating balanced" to mean it was balanced up until the wires went out to the headphones without the third ground wire.
  6. Swap the left and right channel tubes.
  7. "Colin Toole, Internal Affairs"
  8. Where does that fall in the Careless Love > Half the Perfect World range? Careless Love just spoke to me more than Half the Perfect World did. Half the Perfect World was too mainstream for my tastes. Which, admittedly, are weird.
  9. Me == 'pay attention' fail.
  10. Yeah, I was thinking of phoning them, not so much driving there to check.
  11. I was going through a thread on another board to get some ideas, and one album that keeps popping up that I've never seen mentioned before was We Were Promised Jet Packs, These Four Walls (maybe because the band name is so memorable, but that one stuck out). Anyone heard? I'll be checking it out myself. Also, I've seen a lot of love elsewhere for Merriweather Post Pavilion (Animal Collective) -- how come not so much here? I gave up on A/C a while ago (don't "get"), but have to admit to being tempted to revisit with that one.
  12. Last of the Christmas cookies
  13. I'm almost afraid to look. (starts to wander off...) (doubles back) <beat> (wanders off...)
  14. Have you checked Delaware yet, Dan?
  15. Let me know how it is, I actually saw that at a used CD store today and almost bought it.
  16. Incorrect. Reminds me of the joke, right? It'ain't this, and it'ain't that. Joke still works, if you point.
  17. I should do mine too -- the main reason I have mine is to bias tube amps. Is that the same thing as voltage? I mean, that's kind of a loaded question, because obviously it's not, but is checking its ability to measure resistance accurately the same as checking its ability to measure voltage accurately? I don't think they have high tolerance batteries.
  18. I should get mine back tomorrow or the day after (depending on when it shows up -- if it shows up after 3, my mail room won't bring it 'round 'til the next day). I can either do a comparo with Hirsch's before his goes out (he ordered his on 12/31, so it'll be tight), or ask my boss to bring in his, and (assuming he says yes) do the comparison alone at work.
  19. Well...yours are, but I don't know if that's true for everyone.
  20. Sucks, Colin. But at least you get to meet Epica.
  21. I want to get a slow motion camera just for him. I want the following film: (low to the floor, looking through doorway into kitchen, framed by doorway) (nothing happens) (for perhaps just a beat too long, nothing continues to happen) (dust starts to blow in from stage left, it is now obvious that this is slow motion) (cat enters from stage left, "drifting", going sideways from sheer momentum, scrambling for traction) (cat continues from stage left to stage right, "drifting") (cat exits stage right, still "drifting") (fade to black)
  22. Mark Ecko
  23. You bastard, you bought the Moth?
