Community -- this is a smart show, disguised as a dumb sitcom. For instance, when the group loses their scapegoat, one of the characters cites, "we lost our George Castanza, our Cliff Claven, our Turtle...or Johnny Drama...or E...man, that show was sloppy." Had to look up the reference, but now that I know, I laugh on the inside. Our when Abed "pantses" Troy, he mentions that it was on his list of things to do in his first year of college, "...of course, it would have been better if you had the full hearts boxers". Troy: "well I hope getting pantsed was on your list". "Yes it was." (Puts a check on his piece of paper. Also, it is revealed that he has on the full hearts boxers.)

Dusty -- for some reason -- doesn't go after everyday beers. So Dusty just approves all the more. I was out and about checking out a few liquor stores in my area on Saturday, and it got to the point where I just went straight to the "craft brews" section. And if they didn't have one, then I didn't stick around very long.

I think I just figured out the appeal of the JH13's. It's an oversimplification, but: 'you can't do that'. Let me explain: so the theory is, if you start at the top (Stax O2), you run into a dilemma, because it is natural to still want to upgrade, but you've got nowhere to upgrade to. So two conflicting feelings emerge: satisfaction, and upgradeitis -- the combination of which leads to frustration. So you invent things to appease the upgradeitis -- namely, DIY mods. Well, with the JH13's, you can't do that. Well you can, but you have to have really, really small hands and be able to work in small places with small things -- kind of like a watchmaker. This will -- for the most part -- Darwin away most people. That leaves the satisfaction part, and only a small amount of upgradeitis, which can be more easily appeased by buying another notebook, netbook, laptop, or desktop. Or getting a Pico Slim, Pico DAC/Amp, TTVJ Amp/DAC, Headroom portable amp, or something similar of the sort. Or you can start investigating different softwares.

You should parallel all your DACses together so that they cancel out each others' weaknesses. What do you mean, 'it doesn't work like that'?

Dusty approves, even though Dusty doesn't like Imperial Stouts as much as Oatmeal Stouts and whatnot, he still likes Imperial Stouts over, say, Budweiser.

- Yeah, I sort of got over the whole all-black thing -- still love them, but I wore this to mother's day yesterday, it's one of my current favorites: My mother thought it was very nice, very elegant. I've almost always worn all black except for a splash of color -- I've taken to using the watch as the "splash of color" part. And most recently, I've fallen in love with mother-of-pearl, and they almost never do all black mother-of-pearl. The closest I've seen (and yes, I did get these two) is the Aussie Pro Diver and several of the Sea Vultures, the latter of which I got the most uncluttered faceplate (non-chrono) version I could get. - No, I've not, thanks for the pointer, will check it out when I visit in September.
