  1. You really like to get in close, don't you?
  2. Yeah, I actually own Holy Cow -- might even have a commercial videotape compilation or two that include their videos somewhere.
  3. [pat metheny]Hey now![/pat metheny]
  4. 's'truth. I'm one of those people, so I do my best to stay off the road. So Dan, how much are we getting? I'm hearing 'feet'. And Beefy: Jesus!
  5. I went to weather.com, posted 22209 (where I work), clicked over to hour-by-hour, and when I got to tomorrow, sometime between 10am and later, this is exactly what it said. And then I turned on WTOP, Announcer: What do you have for us, Doug Hill? Doug Hill: Oh, we're fucked, Dean Lane. It's going to drop on us like a diarrheal flying cow that just ate the whole pasture.
  6. I actually get too distracted by "Earth Day" to enjoy the rest of the album. I need to put it into rotation on my iPod, I've really been enjoying, Addicted! (and not just because Anneke......guests on it rather prominently). And: habits? Please say it ain't so, this is news to me...
  7. It might be a legal thing -- to call it a 'mod' instead of a new pair of headphones, that way they don't get in trouble for mimicking/"paying tribute"/"making an homage to" Grado's. Lawyers, what say you?
  8. Lies. I still have my Beyers. I don't still have my Senns. I withhold judgment, unlike you cantankerous basterds.
  9. No, it was meant as a recommendation, but I realize in hindsight it wouldn't be very helpful. It lets you listen to music you may not have heard before, but sounds like something you have heard before.
  10. Jesus, that's 20 hours of just driving.
  11. So...what's your point? Some of us are old enough to remember that film.
  12. I should listen to that again. The only thing I ever listen to is "Fear Satan" (usually via Kicking a Dead Pig). I imagine listening to that album without listening to "Fear Satan" is kinda sucky.
  13. Or something from Luxman.
  14. Well, I've let my hair grow out, so I really can't call it a mullet any more, but even a month ago or so, I would have said that it smells like me. And it's not so bad, I use a mildly lavender-scented shampoo.
  15. Yeah that's one of the great (or bad, depending) things about watches -- you really can't make a bad decision. Sinn, Omega, and Panerai are all great watches. I really want a Sinn U Black myself. But I'm only just getting to the point where I'm starting to worry about the movements -- priorly, it's all been about how it looks and how durable the case is.
  16. em:t...mmmm....I have all of their CD's, except some from the second life. Me: Just finished Rarum Vol. 3 (Gary Burton -- "B&G (Midwestern Night's Dream)" is sublime), Rarum Vol. 4 (Bill Frisell) on deck.
  17. Hello Kitty chainsaw is win. This is unrelated:
  18. I would definitely be interested to see what you are thinking about.
  19. There was probably music.
  20. They put on a wonderful show. I saw them twice on the previous (first) leg of the Incident tour, and they are indeed, awesome live. Every show is different. You really should see them live, especially if you like the more recent, harder material. I've never seen an entire set by them up until recently, though I've seen them live as far back as the Stupid Dream tour. And this coming from someone who is avowedly against having babies. And believe it or not, I've heard that before. Pretty sure it's a different girl, though, 'cause this one lives in 'bama. And lives with a guy she calls "Reap" -- this girl doesn't have a boyfriend she calls "Reap", does she?
  21. So, DC area head-casers...Friday, huh?
  22. Ticket to see Porcupine Tree in the Big Apple in September (well, not really bought, but commited to buying -- my buddy bought them). Orchestra front 2-6, huzzah.
