  1. I need this Australian Research & Space Exploration T-shirt
  2. Dusty love "Pepper Poppers", which are basically those minus the bacon and sausage, so now Dusty WANT Armadillo Eggs.
  3. So that’s why my interest dropped off after San Francisco Days! By the way, thanks to a certain DJ on WHFS, I am one of those few people who heard Silvertone first.
  4. About to eat fish & chips at nicely socially distanced Dogfish Head Alehouse.
  5. Yeah, I discovered Japanese Breakfast just recently. Went apeshit on her music for a while. Good stuff. Me: still listening to the new Hum.
  6. I am well familiar with the Portsmouth Sinfonia.
  7. This (Satie's Gnossienne #1) is going to be filed with Grieg's "Solvejg's Song" (from Peer Gynt incidental music) and Mussorgsky's "The Old Castle" (from Pictures at an Exhibition) as one of my favourite hauntingly beautiful short pieces, but this version is...uh...pretty WAT.
  8. Thanks! Will have to watch that. Me, now:
  9. Yeah, it’s good, you definitely need to check it out. That said, it has made me start thinking of revisiting their back catalogue as well. I don’t listen to their material enough.

But you're paying $50/month for YouTube TV, or are you using a trial period?
  11. https://appleinsider.com/articles/20/06/24/apple-silicon-mac-mini-dev-kit-looks-like-a-desktop-ipad-pro
  12. I never noticed that, I love vocal songs with ~> 50% instrumental. Great album. I listened to The Jungle quite a bit. “And they danced!...”. Jeff Lynne is a brilliant producer. Me: Hum —first album in over 22 years! Shoegaze heaven. https://humband.bandcamp.com/releases
  13. No, I'm not offering my prediction to usurp yours / y'alls's -- I'm saying I refuse to accept any predictions because there's not enough information to go on. Purely from the perspective of my buying choices as a result -- I refuse to be an early adopter in this case.
  14. And how many cases has there been of long term architectural transitions? 2? That’s not exactly a statistically valid sample, especially considering how different today’s climate is compared to the first two. I’m not saying it won’t happen, I’m just saying we don’t have enough information to interpolate a b-spline curve.
  15. I’m with him. I doubt even Apple can predict whether this is a long term phased replacement or just a phase. I certainly won’t be the guinea pig. I realize you all want to throw predictions out there, but that’s all they are, predictions.

No, it cut off part way through the 4th (?) episode, around 3am. @tkam, are you still able to access it through the YouTube app?

I love this show. Cal’s explanation to the kids the atheist’s view of heaven. The varying levels of sloppiness behind masks. Other things.
  18. Elias Black, Reclamation -- found out recently this was recorded by Steve Albini, so listening to it on the good system. Deliciously raw.
  19. Just discovered it today, myself. Was searching for all versions of “Push the Sky Away” on Tidal and ran across two covers (in addition to the original and several live versions). Loved it, listened to the rest of the album. Love how they translated “Red Right Hand” to a lullaby. The rest didn’t need as much work to make it less rocky. Love how melodic the source material is, their versions really bring that out. Now listening to Endless River because of a certain discussion on Facebook.

Yeah, but you're you and I'm me, so operator error is the likely culprit. Watched the first two episodes, but I have other things to do today, so hopefully it will still be available through the week, as I would like to watch the other 7 episodes.
