  1. Ooh, new Heilung!
  2. Happy birthday! (party favour noise) 🎉
  3. Baxter Dury catalog
  4. Dew et!
  5. Voces8, After Silence on Tidal. Such pretty music.
  6. Cheers to that! I've been watching my favourite current band, Al1ce, who resume the second leg of their virtual tour next Wednesday. Musically, they are so my thing (hard pop). Don't worry, I'm not so obsessed that I won't post other things, just had to get a plug in for them. They've been hosting a bunch of other cool acts, too, over 75% of which were interesting to me enough that I bought their material on Bandcamp. PS Thanks for the Nick Cave link -- love his stuff. Definitely watching that.
  7. I guess. Don’t follow your reasoning. Brent crashes into things, there’s no “like” about it. He just does.
  8. Phrasing?
  9. Alice Underground, The Cambria Sessions
  10. First off: really good. Dig. You reinforce my stance over and over -- people write differently when they write instrumental music. I really need to finish something. I finally upgraded the OS on my Prophet 6 (about 2 weeks ago, thanks to motivation from people at Al1ce), and found out the TRS connector for the headphone out is really sensitive to length (it's sorta a size queen), so there's only one headphone that works for it. Anyway, my point is, every time I sit down to record something, I end up playing instead. It's got a crazy good arpeggiator, and it's got a reverb so it's not painful to listen to on headphones, so I end up just playing around with it, rather than sit down to record one of my many ideas. One of these days...
  11. 6 pepper salmon salad
  12. Mike Oldfield, QE2
  13. It's the episode (each episode is about 6:66 minutes long) entitled "The Bechdel Test" (episode 7).
  14. Finished Dummy —surprisingly good, if quite raunchy. Ric, you ought to watch this just for the codependent woman’s frustration with trying to pass the Bechdel test.
  15. Yeah, that’s a sad loss. RIP Congressman John Lewis, fuck cancer, and fuck 2020.
  16. That's weirdly coincidental that you mentioned Tubular Bells, I was just listening to this earlier today: Listening to this now: Worth it just for the first couple minutes, in which David Gilmour plays an abbreviated version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond while playing acoustic.
  17. Am I the only person who never watched Mythbusters?
