  1. Doesn't look the part, but tastes freaking delicious. Pad Thai
  2. That wasn't the double-entendre I expected, but it's the one I lollered.
  3. Decided to learn some from the theatrical activity known as "pipe and drape" and frame out supports for the mattresses with PVC. Did the math and realized the queen was pretty close to the hypotenuse of the two twins (yeah, I know that's a double-entendre waiting to happen, go ahead), but after looking at them, decided the triangle would be too claustrophobic, so going to make a trapezoid. It's just a matter of what material to use for the fourth wall/door (yes, you too, can make a movie pun). Probably woolen drapes or something.
  4. @909 how many times has this ^ happened to you? Wz24Afg.mp4
  5. My friend Man managed to interview Emma from Sirenia (!) and confided in me that he has an interview with (the) Anneke (!!!).
  6. Happy birthday, Jeff! (party favour noise)
  7. Feel better regardless.
  8. Same, didn't even have to shovel.
  9. So...yes, of course there are, but you're fixing a different problem than I'm trying to -- my biggest concern is sound leakage outwards to my neighbors, rather than inwards into the microphone. So something like this would be the pre-built alternative: https://isovoxbooth.com https://whisperroom.com/application/voice-over/ https://www.clearsonic.com/collections/megapac I was thinking more along the lines of a wall rack like a vertical futon holder like Naaman described, I was just trying to think of a way to utilize what I had before resorting to the prebuilt option, since I already had the mattresses and they aren't being used. And Jeff -- you're right of course, I would like to eventually record vocals professionally, but I'm less worried about that for now -- mostly I just want a place to practice in, late at night, and record for my own review.
  10. They’re all mine, but yeah, agreed, I will be vacuum cleaning them thoroughly. Also: thanks!
  11. I need ideas on how to hold up a floppy queen mattress that is being repurposed as a wall in a vocal booth. I also have two twin mattresses that will make up two of the other walls. All three are hard foam. Any ideas?
  12. Mapo Tofu with rice
  13. They're just calzones, innit.
  14. Or just..tldr. we may live in a hot take society, but we kind of hate hot takes here. Please give Reddit a try, I understand you would receive lots of back slapping.
  15. Here’s to hoping there’s more. That said, I still really love Chelsea Wolfe’s solo work, and ERR’s works with the Thoulings.
  16. Oh, man, those interference patterns are in the fractions! 🙃
  17. Only for those with the patience to set them up properly, I still recommend sticking with one for most situations.
  18. Tool got in on the Bernieshop action: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKULYSIFUwk/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link I like the album covers ones.
  19. Liked adult. when I first discovered them many years ago during the electroclash movement, kinda lost track of them though, will have to catch up with them. Me, right now: Cardiacs (catalog got released on streaming services) Definitely Dustycore (a term coined by a friend on Discord to group all musicks I like) — ska & new-wave influences, stilted rhythms, theatricality, demented intervals in the melodies, just loads of fun
  20. I think the only downside for your use case is two inputs. I’ve often felt mine lacking because I would want a stereo analog input for my keyboard, a mic input, and a stereo send return for outboard pedals. But then you mentioned MIDI, so you’re probably fine.
  21. Was: Spiral Architect (seminal technical extreme metal) Is: 1000mods' new one (stoner) Will be: Matthew Sweet? I have no idea...
