Yeah, I listened to ERR all in one sitting, it was sublime. Re: Aimee Mann -- oh. She's settled into a nice comfy singer-songwriter niche, which I find worth listening to once in a while, but if she's not your thing, don't force yourself. I thought I remembered you liking her. Only semi-unrelated: really looking forward to Chelsea Wolfe/Converge

New Bent Knee, Frosting. Not sure what to make of it. Not sure I ever will. I kinda like about half of it, but I fricking hate the hyperpop stuff -- the autotune and fucked up vocal modulation stuff, that just sounds like children playing with toys. I just don't get it. This is one of the better tunes: You're welcome! Did you see there's a new Aimee Mann as well?

Listening to the new Emma Ruth Rundle, Engine of Hell -- unlike anything she's ever done before. Beautiful acoustic slowcore, very minimalist, raw production.

Finished both seasons of Locke & Key -- very much enjoyed. But, like my reading (October Daye, &c), it's very YA -- not sure why I'm so drawn to that, I just like the fantasy premise to show the human condition in various ways (loss, alcoholism, teenage rebellion, bullying, emotional manipulation, younger child stuff, just everything). The CG was just little (quantity) enough not to be the centerpiece of the show -- like MCU movies -- but high-production-values enough to enjoy when it was shown.

Well...to go off on a tangent -- tapping is tapping, so they're all inter-related. Tapping on guitar is much harder than it is on the Stick, the Stick is actually designed for tapping. In fact, even my NS/Stick -- which is technically designed to be played either with tapping or with picking -- it's easier to just tap all the time, when I want to practice picking or strumming, I don't go for the NS/Stick. So that may be why the two might seem decoupled, because one doesn't really inform the other.

Nightmare on Elm Street comedy? I don’t consider the 3rd one comedy, never saw 4 onwards. Army of the Dead (3) was definitely a comedy.

But if you preorder the album now, you can buy tickets for October November tour dates in EU UK.

This one hurts, I’ve spoken with him, and hoped to speak with him again. What a visionary. https://guitar.com/news/gear-news/emmett-chapman-musician-inventor-chapman-stick-dies-85/

Really? What about the second one? It's basically horror comedy. Especially that whole 3 Stooges / hand scene. Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead -- How are you liking it? I enjoyed it when I watched it, but stopped for some reason (not sure why -- I think maybe because of something completely unrelated to the show).

What kind of music?

Hey, did you ever see Voivod? I have come to the realization in the last couple years that I love Voivod inordinately much (more than Opeth, more than Gojira, more than Within Temptation, more than Epica,...not sure if more than Katatonia, though), and I just found out they were at 70,000 Tons of Metal in 2018, did you go that year and did you catch them? Just curious.
