  1. Bummer. I did find them pretty comfortable.
  2. Does anyone know if one can obtain the bagels by themselves? And are they compatible with regular Grados. And no, I don't mean actual bagels, I mean the bagel pads that come with the GS1000's. I might try 'em with my HP-2's.
  3. Nice. I wonder if the letters "DJ" come off when you take the screen out, as well. Think about it. With the screen, it has the classic "DJ" sonic signature -- I.E. crappy. Probably sounds better louder, but bassier, too (with the screen in).
  4. I love the engrish on that site: "...amplitude to velocity converter device..." "...why this ?..." Don't get me wrong, I'm not disparaging their technical abilities, just their English skillz. Kevin -- don't make fun of them, they probably had Babelfish translate their text. But I would like to hear if you've heard of this type of technology before.
  5. I will take the fifth on that. Personally, I think it looks "rad", being a guitarist-wannabe. Who's going to be the first to try it out? I have no idea how much they cost.
  6. Well, you could use the EQ function to correct for the room a little bit. But yeah, it's probably sub-par as far as DAC's are concerned. Would work for most people, but maybe not someone with as refined ears as yours.
  7. Entry level digital mixer. Can take digital inputs and produce balanced outputs, so could act like a digital source/preamp/EQ while you're at it. Yamaha marketing page/ad copy
  8. I'd make you an offer, but I should be spending money on necessities, like furniture and shit. (If you saw my room, you'd agree.) But I'll take good care of them while you lend them to me! No seriously, why do you need a digital out, again? Just geta Mackie 1202VLZPro or something, there's your "preamp"...or if you need a digital, I have a Yamaha 01V I ain't using...
  9. Benchmark DAC1? Grace Design m902? And WRT the Quad 12L's, you should give them to me. I "only" have two Mackie HR824's, and I need a surround sound setup.
  10. He doesn't have any GS-1000's, what are you talking about? And besides, to someone like me, the photoshopped bowls were the point (I.E. comfort issue).
  11. So who's going to be the first to try this with their K1000's? Looks...flat. Looks like a stomp box, actually, but is said to run cool, so no need for heatsinks and such. New-ish technology -- "magnetic flux fluctuation" -- no tubes or transisters, but does have one opamp. Homely page
  12. I don't think that qualifies as "thinking". A cat could put a more synergistic system together than that.
  13. That was bullshit? I thought that'd be a serious concern...I hate getting dust in my drivers...and starting all that...tertiary...shit...
  14. I hate those "Ask a Ninja" videos. You have to be high to find those funny.
  15. When you get around to impressions, please mention your upstream components. We've been having really bad experiences with some notoriously good amps over here...
  16. Now that's just silly. You know engineers can't spell.
  17. There's some nice porn on that site. "... solid silver wiring suspended in mid-air..." indeed.
  18. [Horshack]Ooh...ooh...ooh...[/Horshack] I'll take one each of the Beethoven's, one of the Dvorak, the Orff, the Bach, and the Mahler, if I qualify...pretty please... Yeah, I forgot to mention that I listen to a lot of classical (but that can be seen in my Mahler thread), I just don't happen to have any in DVD-A yet... PS Why do you have so many duplicates?
  19. I have a DVD-A player, but I can't find the remote for it, so I have to listen to the default layer, whatever it is. Also, I only have a couple DVD-A's: Queen's A Night at the Opera, Philip Glass, Koyaanisqatsi, Porcupine Tree, In Absentia and the recently obtained Deadwing, Blue Man Group, Audio and...uh...one more. I do, however, have quite a few "DAD's" from Classic Records, Arts Music (.de) and Chesky.

  21. He don't look right.
  22. ...or perhaps not so random. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsUlz-fiWxM&search=sucettes One at a time, people. Le Creme de la Creme.
  23. To your left there is a window. Go to it....open it. You can use the scaffold to get to the roof...There are two ways out of this building. One is that scaffold, the other is in their custody. You take a chance either way. I leave it to you.
  24. You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave...
