Yet another bitch about RSA thread
We're not criticizing him for not being omniscient, we're criticizing him for trying to play games like he is answering part of the question and not others, when in fact he is just adding to the entropy. And Yikes -- you're a fucking idiot. If there's any truth to the fact that the Raptor even could start fires, that information ought to be widely disseminated if for no other reason than for fucking safety. You want to be a fucking apologist, that's one thing -- you want to be a potential vandal and/or murderer by ommission, that's another.

That was two statements.

5) tyrion is ignorant of anything having anything to do with this -- "I'm not aware" statements don't mean anything to a lawyer, and it's a way of making people hear "this is not true". 6) Maybe it's not the raptor. Tyrion -- you're really not being paid enough to be Ray's Head-Case representative. Or are you?

B52 Observations.
Interesting. What other amps have you heard your modified SA5000 on? Sources, etc.? And how hot did it run?

And they say sarcasm doesn't convey across the internet well. That was like, SOIP.

I need some room rocking speakers for events, small budget.
You should go vintage. Perhaps the Pioneer HPM-100's. Look at Craig's list in your area, eBay, &c.

U.E Metro.Fi 2?
Actually, they look like they are made to compete with the Etymotic ER-6 or ER-6i, perhaps? Plus, they're not iPod white, so there's that.

Yeah, well, you have a point there.

No, you shut the fuck up. So many of your posts contain this expression, and yet you are probably the single person most needing to shut your pie hole.

Don't roll your eyes at me, young man! It's like the opposite of s'mores.

New toy
Even better! Too bad about the wobble, though. One of the things they "fixed" in the new 2805 and 2905 was to add a brace. (See the brochure for a pic.)

That's why I said 'veiled' and not just 'threat'. Perhaps if I had said 'implied' things would be clearer to you? If the implication was just to meet, there were more diplomatic phrasings that could have been chosen. But instead, it was just lobbed there. Like a bomb. The fact that it wasn't refuted right away (until threats of ban were levied), just reinforces my opinion that it was indeed, intended as a threat. The later post just strikes me as backpedaling.

QUADZ!!!1! So are those the 988's or 2805's, or whut? Thrice is going to be so jealous.

Is this some kind of veiled threat?

Didn't you just get the Omega Super 3 XRS speakers? So they're not those...and I don't see anything in their catalog of comparable size to the dimensions you've quoted...have you upgraded to a different brand already?

New Sarah and Tori albums
Yeah, the only reason I haven't gotten that Tori box is because it'd make a great Christmas gift. Despite having the largest collection of Tori of anyone I know (not online), it still has quite a bit on that box that I don't.

Faraday cage?
Well, no, they (the electrons) don't need to go anywhere, they just "gather" on one side (the positive). Airplanes aren't grounded, and they're cited on the wiki as an example of a Faraday cage that protects its contents (passengers) from sudden charges (lightning strikes). Thinking out loud (which is almost always a mistake -- I liken it to chewing with one's mouth open), I would think that if it works for highly localized DC-ish potential transients, this should extrapolate rather readily to AC. I'm going to just get some slabs of metal and jumper them together and see what it does. Or maybe I'll just bring in my Singlepower Supra++, as that has a metal casing.

Faraday cage?
Anyone here built a Faraday cage? Strikes me as pretty easy. I've got some sort of RF source in my vicinity here at work, and am tempted to build one for my audio equipment. Basically, it needs to be (a) made of conducting metal, ( continuous (all conducting materials must touch each other) and © ventilated (so heat doesn't build up). Does it need to be grounded? I am not sure I understand why if it does.

Xiang Sheng help...?
Okay, so I dropped one of the tubes (one of the 6N11's) before I had a chance to test it. Now, one half of that tube doesn't emit at all. Did I break something? Or would it still work if the other half was fine, and it was broken before (just not as well)? There were no shorts. I think I owe him at least a pair of new production tubes, but he won't have any of it.
