Also, they're open, which doesn't interest me. The SRS-3010 allowed me to get a new Stax amp that I could eventually use with my 4070 (which I still don't have, either).

Stax SR-001 Mk II -- I disagree with the other opinions here, it's surprisingly good, and is actually competitive at its price point for a complete headphone/amp system.

Yeah, after reading your 220-240V requirement, I was going to reiterate my EarMax Pro recommendation, as I believe it's built by a German company (Brocksieper). I'd look around to see if I could find a dealer and find out what local prices are.

Why would you think that? Just because Jude & Co. went through a humbling experience in one area, doesn't mean that they're humbled in another. Quite frankly, I don't see the relation.

I was almost happy with my Wheatfield/L3000 combination, but then I figured out that my amp was lightly fried, and I haven't had it fixed yet. I suspect with it fixed or something, it could be a really sweet combination. I actually haven't given up on it yet.
