  1. Yeah, but it's not EdipisReksically bad. Alright, maybe it is.
  2. This is why friends don't let friends drink and post on the internet. At least you're not driving.
  3. Oh, dude, that's brilliant, I am totally making my kitty into a stamp. Erm...youknowwhutImean...and this one, too:
  4. Time to revisit the NEC 6xe.
  5. Does "full mods" == "replacing the headphone entirely"?
  6. Thanks, now I'm going to have that stuck in my head all day. (Actually, I had Pat Benatar stuck in my head earlier, because someone posted the lyrics to Heartbreaker in another forum, so it'll be more of a medley. Medleys are the worst.) And: man sure knows how to blow a ...erm... whistle.
  7. Yes, the 780's.
  8. You probably say the same thing about pepper mills.
  9. I doubt too many of us have experience with that amp, but we might be able to give generic 6922 and 6N6P suggestions...
  10. Paging Postjack and grawk, Paging drs. postjack and grawk, white courtesy telephone please. Oh, and: Deep End, Vols. 1 & 2 would be the logical next step.
  11. Yeah, but there's really no choice in the matter, is there.
  12. It almost sounds like they need uber-powerful amps to drive them. I wonder -- has anyone tried driving them directly out of really good speaker amps?
  13. Please post more interesting videos. I don't need this crap.
  14. Just about every person I know who (a) can tolerate Grados comfort issue (which can be learned), and ( listens to rock music...prefers Grados.
  15. Goddamn, now I'm regretting having something other than a College Park Gyro for dinner earlier tonight. Which, if I had thought about it, I could have had. (Just about every gyro in the College Park area is at least half decent, including Pizza Boli's, who don't usually make gyros.)
  16. Bob Mould with Halou opening. Halou were excellent, in fine form, and Rebecca is gorgeous, charming, has a winning smile, and I can't think of a single sour note she hit. I also think she's a bit of a gearwhore, as she was playing with a Kaoss Pad and sung in at least 3 different mics, one of which is the infamous green bullet: She also did a thing where she had two mics, and sang into both of them, at the same time executing an effect. I've seen Laurie Anderson do that, but didn't want to accuse her of being too heavily influenced by any one particular person (I got to talk to her extensively after the show). What was wonderful about it was how smooth she did it. She wasn't doing it to show off, as I doubt anyone but me would have noticed, I suspect she was doing it just to maintain her own interest in what she was doing. I also especially enjoyed the song where two of them were playing ebows at the same time. That's the kind of band they are. There was also a tune where two of them were playing bass, and it wasn't "Big Bottom". My only complaint is that they played foreshortened versions of at least two or three of the songs, one of them being my favourite. It has this part where they cut down to really quiet, and then start building up again, well, they cut down to really quiet. I mean, really quiet. And just stopped. Ah, well, I've been a fan of theirs for years (since the Bedazzled days), and this was my first time seeing them live, so I'm happy. Bob Mould is quite good. He's still got it, in terms of charisma, rawkin' ability, and songwriting. Too bad he only has one guitar tone -- don't get me wrong, it's great, I just would like to hear a little bit of variety. At least, for the part of the set that I stuck around for. I got hit on earlier in the evening, so was a little tense (since I was alone), so opted to cut the evening short. On the bright side, I could've gotten laid tonight, if I was into, you know, drunks. Who smoked. And had a penis. I think I stuck around for most of set, since he was doing an early night of it, and was going to start his gay discotheque thingy ("Blowoff", LOL) at 11.
  17. I'm already proficient in C, C++, C#, and Java, so thought I'd branch out.
  18. Tapers don't actually listen to that crap, do they? I thought they just stood around and chatted with each other.
  19. I doubt it, there are actual music lovers on this forum.
  20. Hey now! Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  21. Hey, now, don't get me started. Duran Duran bring it. I got the special edition of Red Carpet Massacre.
  22. Some more shoes (one pair was $11.99 on clearance!), a couple XLT shirts that I'm going to use as sleepers.
  23. I've heard Juan's SA5000, and have to say was quite impressed with them.
  24. Isn't oak just slightly heavier? I mean, I know cherry ain't no balsa, but oak is just a plain hernia-inducing gut-buster.
