  1. Sounds like an oxymoron -- how can it be hell if I'm laughing my ass off?
  2. http://www.dccomics.com/sites/essential30/ From this list: All Frank Miller Batman stuff (I've only read Year One and DKR, but both are excellent -- but then again, I'm of the mind that Frank Miller can do no wrong, including Ronin and Robocop). Grant Morrison & Dave McKean, Arkham Asylum is especially fun because it comes with the script, so you can see just how much Dave McKean contributed to it. Neil Gaiman, Sandman the entire series is probably my favorite comic ever, I've been getting the Absolute editions. I've enjoyed what I've read of Ex Machina (which is up to vol. 5 or 6 of the trades), it's a really good anti-super-hero comic. I just bought Watchmen. Y: The Last Man is amazing, and not just because of all the lesbians.
  3. Aw, hell yeah, that was very cool! I have a few issues with it (e.g. there are certain distortions that require polyphonic input to work -- but this is a very guitar-centric criticism), but I thought it was excellent execution and the premise is brilliant.
  4. Nice one!
  5. YAY!!!1! FOR UNDERSTATEMENT!!!1! EVAR!!!1!
  6. How about a wafer thin mint?
  7. Hey, just because a sheep isn't a person, doesn't mean they're not your "partner".
  8. That would make a way-cool heat-sink pattern.
  9. Considering there's no price (and there is on other items), I suspect this is the case. Alas. Though I have to admit, I did not realize that before I contacted him asking for a price.
  10. Seconded. Verbatim.
  11. Listen quieter.
  12. Coolest tread ever:
  13. Looks like my hard drive threw up. Sorry.
  14. (Actually, it's more like the Muscat Gummy section of the multi-pack.)
  15. Okay, I didn't think they had auto-calibration yet.
  16. Don't those methods potentially muck with the alignment?
  17. One of my favourites of all time, I think that made it to my own personal #1 of that year.
  18. Dustin Zebro Yeah, that name alone is destined to be used in the sentence, "Party at ____'s house!"
  19. ...with a midrange. Alas, most of mine are two-ways, otherwise I'd take you up on that experiment. Dali's, for one, or not intended to be listened to on-axis, they are intended to be pointed straight ahead, and listened to off-axis slightly. I think it's manufacturer-specific.
  20. Yes. Don't know.
  21. I think they upped the push/marketing on them, as I just read a review of it, hence my necromancy of this thread.
  22. Miles Davis, Birth of the Cool I know everyone points to Kind of Blue as the Miles Davis album to have, but the thing is, he was seminal every step of the way. This belongs right up there with Cannonball Adderly's Somethin' Else as defining cool. Never has a title been so appropriate.
  23. They're not that new. And 2006 wasn't that long ago. Yes, those post dates are real.
