I didn't pay enough attention to see what sonic differences there were. I can say that things seem to come more into focus when I switch back and forth and it seems to be more obvious than I remember it being with the old version. My issues with sample rate seem to have stopped. I still have the issue every once in a while where I note Amarra is using over 1.5 Gb of RAM, and this is usually when it has set unused for a while and no music is playing.

While it is on the east side, I lived in this hotel for a year when I first got to NYC and it is very convenient for subway and bus routes and is pretty nice for the money. Unsupported Browser I don't think you will have any problem finding rooms under $200 a night during that time of year. You will find that the Times Square hotels are noisy 24x7 and very bright if the curtains aren't good. Most of my friends like to stay down in the Village for the better nightlife and food. While out of your price range, Chelsea Hotel is some place that everyone should stay at least once in their lives. So is Virgils, Ummm Virgils. Dinny we need to have a business lunch at Virgils soon.

Typically if there are women in the party I recommend Del Friscos over Peter Lugers. That is kind of a men's club and the staff seem to want to keep it that way. The Old Homestead is alright as well. There is also the Friday night Jazz at the Planetarium if you are a jazz kind of guy. Kind of like the old Pink Floyd laser shows but with stars and jazz. If you want something interesting go to Ninja. NINJA NEW YORK Restaurant, Finest Japanese Cuisine Better than I thought it was going to be.

A lot of the best ones are gone now. The West Village still has a few nice ones Academy, Bleeker Bobs, etc. Footlight is gone as is Gimme, Gimme I believe. The Jazz Record Center is still in business I believe.

Are you looking to save money or eat good meals. Some interesting Music based evenings: I would say one night eating at Cuba Cuba Restaurant,Cuban restaurants in new york city,Cuban restaurants in nyc,Cuban restaurants, new york city restaurants, cuban food, cuban restaurants in midtown Then heading to the Village Vanguard a few blocks away for music is a nice way to spend the evening. Or maybe hit Rosa Mexicano up by CPW Rosa Mexicano Restaurants | Upscale, modern and authentic Mexican cuisine followed by one of the many free shows at Julliard would also be nice. As far as daytime activities I really like the Frick The Frick Collection: Home Page or just up the Street the Met. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York: metmuseum.org If you are a BBQ fan you should definitely hit up Virgils in Times Square close to the Broadway shows. I am from Texas and I think this is great BBQ. Virgil's | Real Barbeque | Homepage I am sure we can come up with a lot more if you request some specific cuisines, locales, interests.

Yeah, I think the synthetic leather evidently stinks when new. I only use it on the subway so it will probably be one of the better smells on the train.

I recently ordered this one. Hopefully it works out as I think the design has some nice features. Kindle Covers, The New and Improved Maxguard Plus! | Kindle Covers

Yeah these are the first issues I have had. I am having the Chipmunks more than what you described but I did have one weird noise outburst that I thought might have been two songs playing at once which might have been the noise you are talking about now that I have thought about it.
-
That is beautiful. Congrats.
-
Anyone else having issues with this latest version. The sample rate switching seems to have some issues. I keep getting Chipmunks version of music when Amarra switches from 96k to 44k. Only happens about 1 out of every 20 times but it has never happened before.

A couple of new ones so my TTs don't get jealous of all this digital gear.
-
I have not found anything it has disagreed with.
-
Well you could buy it and then the $600 upgrade to the full version and it would be like getting $100 off the full version.
-
In case anyone is on the fence, Amarra Mini is on sale for $295 now which makes it an even better deal.
-
I guess the Gapless playback will be the most beneficial out of this upgrade.

It is part of the Junior stack from DCS the Paganini. I was interested in trying out the DAC and upsampler but couldn't get anyone in NY to loan me a set so I had my little Bro check with Ne Plus in Austin to see if they had a demo set up I could try while I was down there over the Holidays. Ended up my Brother told the Parents and they went with him and ended up buying the the Upsampler and DAC. I have only listened to it using USB out of a PC laptop using Foobar in my brothers system but I thought it sounded pretty good.
-
I just backed it up two weeks ago and I picked up a new 1tb external to put in the system tonight so I can finally try out the new DAC.
-
In case anyone missed the e-mail, the new version of Amarra is out. I have not played with it much as my external HD with all my music for the Mini has died on me but it doesn't look like much has changed.
