  1. So far it seems like a tiny little iPad. Screen is excellent and I have full signal here in the office.
  2. I went with the tripod setup that was as light as possible to ensure I would actually bother carrying it. I have a really light one now that works great and weighs about the same as my camera, the Gitzo 1531 Legs and 1780QR head. Works beautifully but is probably overkill.
  3. Dinny, I seriously doubt that Mail will start reading outlook meeting invites and adding them to Calendar. I will check on mine when it gets here this afternoon.
  4. I guess all the people tracking their iPhones 200 times per hour killed the Fedex system. FedEx Issues Service Update Noting Delayed Shipment Tracking Information, Deliveries Remain On-Time - Mac Rumors
  5. It looks like some people that ordered from Apple got their new iPhones today. http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/22/first-iphone-4-deliveries-arrive/
  6. Early delivery for some iPhone buyers. Maybe the 23rd date from AT&T is correct also. Walmart Receives iPhone 4s, Apple Confirms Early iPhone 4 Deliveries on June 23rd - Mac Rumors
  7. Yeah I looked at that one as well at Adorama. I got the little one for daily carry but might end up with one like yours for travel.
  8. If I was really desperate I might carry a 9mm in there. Usually I would just put a real gun in there.
  9. I got a new murse today. This one was specifically to allow me to carry some camera gear with the iPad. I was surprised to be able to fit: 50d Body, 5d Body w/ 70-200 F2.8 attached, 24/70 f2.8, 17/40 f4, 50 f1.8, 580ex II, iPad, Compact Flash wallet, Canon SX210 IS P&S and some cables. Carries everything very comfortably. Retrospective
  10. Got this from AT&T Premier this morning. We shipped your recently placed AT&T Premier order. If you pre-ordered the iPhone 4, it is staged for pickup by our shipping carrier. Because of unprecedented volume, it may be as much as 72 hours before the carrier can provide any detailed information to you. Please don't be concerned if you visit the carrier's site and specific information about your order is not provided. The information will be updated when the carrier picks up the order at our warehouse. I do not know why they send me a shipping notice with tracking number to let me know it might ship in a few days.
  11. Some from the Artist squatter building in the neighborhood.
  12. Yeah, some are a bit washed out by the direct sunlight. I can fix them to some extent. A few others:
  13. A few from the Red Bull Air Races today.
  14. I guess you are too far back from the river Colin but there was a very large firework show that ended about 5 minutes ago and there were probably be another tomorrow and more every weekend for the rest of the Summer.
  15. Its the summer, there are fireworks on the river every weekend.
  16. Saturday only I think.
  17. The more the merrier. Colin and I are getting tickets for General Admission in the south area.
  18. Tickets for this weekend's Red Bull Air Race NYC.
  19. shhh! The Terrorists have the Internets.
  20. Yeah, the first one posted was run through auto presets in both Aperture and Lightroom inadvertently so it got overcooked. I replaced the source image with one that should be better.
  21. Some from my lunchtime walk today.
  22. I redid them with center focus, focusing on the black die.
  23. So I have been playing around with comparing lenses in somewhat controlled situations to see if I can detect much difference. I need to work up a better testing scenario as I was not smart enough to fix the focus point for all the different lenses so focus and potentially metering could be different. Oh well I will work on it some more when i get bored again I guess. Both images were taken at 30mm, f4, 1/60, 580ex II. Both are L Glass of varying quality. Both are straight out of the camera with only crop and sizing.
