Village Halloween Parade

At ISO 400, 1/25, f2.0 outdoors I would have expected your picture to be really bright.

The only practical advantage is file size. I can obviously take smaller Raw files on the 5DmkII to make them more manageable but they are still much larger than the full size raw on the 5Dc. When I might need all those Pixels I would probably take the mkII but for everyday use the 5Dc is a fantastic camera and will do everything I would ever need. Some shots from the Photo Expo.

I put the old one up for sale when I found this one. The thing looks to be unused so it made sense to pick it up. If I don't sell the other one then I guess I will just have double redundancy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At the big Photo Expo at Javitz today. This is an awesome event with models set up to shoot at most booths and every piece of photo technology you could ever hope to own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am really looking forward to this show starting on Sunday. I downloaded the sneak peak on iTunes and it looks pretty good. A Zombie TV show could be a lot of fun.

That's good news as a MINT 5D came into my hands today. This thing looks brand new and all the accessories in the box look unused.
-
Tried a handheld HDR out my hotel window. Really need a tripod and this scene was not all that HDR necessary but I was bored.
-
I have not even had a chance to take it out of the box yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My team sucks so badly this week that I will probably score almost as many points as my two RBs this week. I am guessing 6 to 0 at the point.

Okay, planning to go to the Village Halloween parade on Sunday and need to figure out the gear I will haul over there. Probably the 7d with the 70-200 and the 5d mkII with the 35 f1.4. I am kind of tempted to forego the 35 for the 50 f1.4 or the new Sigma 85 f1.4 for the reach. Or I could really go nuts and put the 15 f2.8 fisheye. I am assuming decent enough light that the fisheye/70-200 combo might make for an interesting setup with the zoom getting the most work. Any opinions from the nightlife photographers?

The second weekend would be a bit easier for me as I will be getting back from a two week vacation on the first of December but I could probably do either. Is this going to be at that same hotel as last year?

Colin is an engineer, he does not get a machine gun. The M16 knife is legal in NYC though, I have one in my bag most days.

I really like my 35L but I honestly think the difference between it and my previous 35 f2 is mostly in build quality. Both can be very sharp when stepped down. The L has better color representation I believe but I never used both lenses on the same body. I am liking this S95 a lot. I am heading up to Boston tomorrow and I am going to take it instead of a big camera.

Some from a walk in Time Square. Kind of a gloomy day so nothing special. These are out of the camera via the iPad Camera Connection Kit and then cropped in Photogene. If you look closely at this one you will see me in the top left corner of the video board in the picture. I am the big white spot above the umbrella.
-
I guess since I had such a good time at the last two Florida meets I should try to make it down for this one. Depending upon the final timing I am a maybe.

Straight from the camera jpeg. Cropped only in Aperture. Fairly low light, primarily the light from my monitor. The handheld at 1/20 impressed me but I do not use IS on lenses for the DSLRs often.
-
Yeah I would think the S90 would be a great choice. Haven't been able to shoot much with the S95 but I have been very impressed with highish ISO shots and the IS. ISO 800 handheld 1/20 at f2.0 Boring picture but I was just playing around with it last night.
-
Evidently Aperture 3 and LR3 do not read the raw format used by the S95. I really like the operation of the camera but I wish it was about 30% larger.
-
Charging the S95 up now. So far judging just handling/aesthetics I think I still prefer the SX210IS. Handling is a bit important but the aesthetics don'e mean a whole lot to me.
-
Well the S95 should be waiting for me when I get home. I intend to put both it and the SX210IS through their paces to see if the benefits of the S95 outweigh the huge loss of optical zoom.
-
Yeah I would imagine getting a camera like that would be a really cool birthday present for a little boy. What lens is he using?
-
Looks like he is already a better photographer than you.
-
I carry a P&S everyday just in case. I really like the 14x Optical Zoom on my current Canon P&S and thought it did really well when I used it at CanJam, but I like new stuff more than I like old stuff.
-
Anybody buy the S95 from Canon yet. I am thinking about buying one and passing on my SX210IS to a coworker but I do not know anyone that has one yet. Any opinions?
