Great shots. You sure get a completely different perspective with the crop factor and your longer zoom. I could not even get that lion. Looks like Red Panda Fight Club in your picture there. I do not remember the one killing and eating the other as it was obviously about to do in your picture.

Just takes some shots where the subject is not backlit, by what appears to be the surface of the sun outside your window, and see if those come out sharp. Any indoor shot with average household lighting should be sufficient to give you a sharp shot with the S95. If you are really interested there are various focus test prints that you can download and hang up all over your house to do your mad scientist measurements.

Great Day at the Zoo. The Ginger Monkeys were ecstatic to see Colin. But they were shocked when he told them Dinny didn't show up. Weird-Ass Kangaroo came out to see us.

What are the particulars, shutter speed, etc? Went to one of the few camera stores in the City opened on Saturday to buy some toys. Bonus was the fact that it is right next to the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park which is always fun.

I definitely prefer it to the Gitzo I had, but I will definitely miss the much smaller travel size of the Gitzo. This RRS is pretty huge.

Black Rapid is working on a RRS piece that works with the $60 RRS quick release mount. I have been using the quick release with no issues for a month now.

Looks like it is time to buy more lenses. The 70-200 mkII is the best thing Canon makes as far as I am concerned and I could not imagine selling mine.

It really isn't bad, unless you are going through here to get to some crazy place like Birmingham, Alabama on a miniature plane. I remember the terminal for the real airplanes being just fine.

Just took a sorry flight into Chicago on which I was surrounded by little Ginger girls. It was terrifying. I caught one trying to steal my soul, as Gingers are prone to do. Now sitting in this terrible F Concourse at O'Hare. I have to wait in line to eat at a Chilis?
