  1. Yes, the Firefly build is supposed to take place late this year. The DeSalvo is my ride to the train station bike and I do not want to mess with bike shoes each day.
  2. When will there be a weekend that you are not hanging out at a Head-fi meet?
  3. I have to say the Head Case Cycling meet is going to be a pretty sweet bike show at the rate the people here are going. Think I am going to take the DeSalvo out tomorrow, flat pedals and all. Hopefully all the Spandex people won't laugh at me too much.
  4. When I saw what I had to pay I contemplated leaving the Country.
  5. That is terrible. Those bumpy downhills can be a bit disconcerting.
  6. Got my receiver hitch put on and built up the Kuat. This thing is seriously sexier than any of my bikes.
  7. I got the CIA model and have no complaints. I used a BB&B 20% off coupon so it seemed to be a pretty good deal to me.
  8. 30MPH crash would be awful. I was thinking that on a 30MPH downhill today. Hope everything turns out okay.
  9. I don't know where it will be. Depends on if Justin wants to travel. I am going to copy Vicki and put the trailer hitch carrier I bought last year on my truck. Noticed the one I have been using has damaged the roof of my truck.
  10. Talking about a Virginia MTB ride in the coming weeks. Nebby, you have a bike yet? Juan, Chris you guys ready to hit the trails again with our newest member Justin?
  11. Really liked watching the race today. The crowd seemed to be pretty bad taking a rider out so close to the end and I really thought Cancellera coming to a stop at the end so he could get the Giant guy in front of him was annoying.

    Vice on HBO

Watched the first episode. Actually a fairly entertaining news show, though I am not sure about their accuracy on some of the stories. Definitely an entertaining way to catch up on some of the lesser told news stories. http://www.hbo.com/vice/index.html

  13. Chris is an excellent riding partner as he convinces me to ride places I would never try on my own. Very short ride for me today as I am not in riding shape and the hills killed me. Excellent workout and I think now that I can get on the bike more often it will just keep getting easier. Chris rode up and down the same hills that killed me several times waiting for me so I know I will never catch up to him.
  14. I could definitely be up to try your "trail of tears" climbing extravaganza again. I think the Calfee has 11-28 which should make it a bit better.
  15. I don't want you to miss a serious ride if you have one planned. I am definitely going to ride. What loop are you referring to?
  16. What kind of ride do you have planned tomorrow Chris?
  17. I would say get used to the noise. I will never own another Avid brake set up.
  18. Is it Avid?
  19. I was hoping to have the MTB serviced and ready to go out this weekend but it is still in pieces. I guess I am stuck riding a road bike tomorrow.
  20. Yep, where is the video footage?
  21. Great shot Ari. What does "explored" mean?
  22. Heavy. I kid, I kid. Picked up the Ti Zipp stems for the Desalvo. I am really liking my local shop less and less. The manager that I really liked disappeared a few weeks ago to be replaced by some annoying little guy. Then the great mechanic in the back has a manager put in place over him from one of the other stores, who is a major hipster dufus douchebag. Now said annoying manager has canceled the Mellow Monday ride to go for a more traditional Wednesday ride like the other boring shop rides. If there was another real shop around I would definitely be moving as after spending $15k+ in this shop since December I am still never offered any discount whatsoever on anything I buy and I don't even like hanging out there anymore.

    Shoe-Case

I am going to have to change my review of the Peal & Co. Shoes. Wore them today on a tour of a 1m sq ft Pharma facility and had zero comfort issues. I already ordered a pair of slip ons and a different brown oxford from Peal & Co.
  24. That is amazing Vicki, seems like just weeks ago you thought you were not going to get back to form. I still could not ride that long. Partly because of comfort but mostly because of just getting bored and wanting to do something else. 1-1.5 hours is about my limit.
