  1. Talking about a Virginia MTB ride in the coming weeks. Nebby, you have a bike yet? Juan, Chris you guys ready to hit the trails again with our newest member Justin?
  2. Really liked watching the race today. The crowd seemed to be pretty bad taking a rider out so close to the end and I really thought Cancellera coming to a stop at the end so he could get the Giant guy in front of him was annoying.

    Vice on HBO

Watched the first episode. Actually a fairly entertaining news show, though I am not sure about their accuracy on some of the stories. Definitely an entertaining way to catch up on some of the lesser told news stories. http://www.hbo.com/vice/index.html

  4. Chris is an excellent riding partner as he convinces me to ride places I would never try on my own. Very short ride for me today as I am not in riding shape and the hills killed me. Excellent workout and I think now that I can get on the bike more often it will just keep getting easier. Chris rode up and down the same hills that killed me several times waiting for me so I know I will never catch up to him.
  5. I could definitely be up to try your "trail of tears" climbing extravaganza again. I think the Calfee has 11-28 which should make it a bit better.
  6. I don't want you to miss a serious ride if you have one planned. I am definitely going to ride. What loop are you referring to?
  7. What kind of ride do you have planned tomorrow Chris?
  8. I would say get used to the noise. I will never own another Avid brake set up.
  9. Is it Avid?
  10. I was hoping to have the MTB serviced and ready to go out this weekend but it is still in pieces. I guess I am stuck riding a road bike tomorrow.
  11. Yep, where is the video footage?
  12. Great shot Ari. What does "explored" mean?
  13. Heavy. I kid, I kid. Picked up the Ti Zipp stems for the Desalvo. I am really liking my local shop less and less. The manager that I really liked disappeared a few weeks ago to be replaced by some annoying little guy. Then the great mechanic in the back has a manager put in place over him from one of the other stores, who is a major hipster dufus douchebag. Now said annoying manager has canceled the Mellow Monday ride to go for a more traditional Wednesday ride like the other boring shop rides. If there was another real shop around I would definitely be moving as after spending $15k+ in this shop since December I am still never offered any discount whatsoever on anything I buy and I don't even like hanging out there anymore.

    Shoe-Case

I am going to have to change my review of the Peal & Co. Shoes. Wore them today on a tour of a 1m sq ft Pharma facility and had zero comfort issues. I already ordered a pair of slip ons and a different brown oxford from Peal & Co.
  15. That is amazing Vicki, seems like just weeks ago you thought you were not going to get back to form. I still could not ride that long. Partly because of comfort but mostly because of just getting bored and wanting to do something else. 1-1.5 hours is about my limit.
  16. Brent, try: http://www.love2pedal.com http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/big-and-tall-cycling-apparel.html?gclid=CPnQzu-up7YCFRCf4AodDgUA7Q
  17. I have read that set runs very small Brent.
  18. Yeah, there is actually a nice brewpub just off the trail as well. It might make getting back home a bit challenging.
  19. Happy Birthday Douglas.
  20. Sorry, it is North. http://www.carolinabrothers.com Rode with two groups today for a bit, one mostly of really slow beginners and their coach/teacher of some sort and one really fast one with Parlees, etc. The fast one was fun. There was one guy on a Panasonic with the seat slammed all the way down but the guy was fast regardless of the poor fit.
  21. Just got back from my own ride. Rode out to Leesburg and got in a nice 27 miles. Stopped for a pic at the ride up BBQ joint right on the W&OD Trail that I am going to take everyone if we ever have a HC Cycling Team meet in my area.
  22. Great looking bike. I definitely recommend the TDC as I am a big fan of the cause. I will be riding as a Team Red member, as a Type 1 Diabetic, so I hope to represent. Probably should be out riding now but I definitely need to do a ride tomorrow of longer than normal mileage as I am way out of practice.

    Shoe-Case

Picked up a pair of Allen Edmond and a pair of Rancourt & Co. loafers today. Wore the Peal & Co. shoes today and found them to be amazingly uncomfortable.

I was looking, I could find very little there in my size. Lot's of tiny shoes, very little 12-12.5s.

I have owned a couple of pairs of Eccos and thought they were pretty good.
