  1. I agree, you should buy it Nate.
  2. Thanks everyone. 24 hours later I am right on the verge of $1k in donations. The greatest majority from HC people. Really appreciate the donations.
  3. Fingers crossed for Nate.
  4. Ari, the Calfee bikes ride really nice.
  5. I have found the BlackRapid people to be excellent at events and in customer service.
  6. It is a testament to the group here that I met my original goal within an hour of posting here. So in typical HC style I guess I just raise my goal. Your generosity is much appreciated guys.
  7. Hi Guys, I figured I would post this to my friends here at HC. I certainly support the cause as a Type 1 Diabetic and I do not believe I will have any trouble meeting my numbers but any support for the cause means a lot to me. My Page: http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR/TourdeCure/A1WDC-DistrictofColumbiaMetroArea?px=8725939&pg=personal&fr_id=8619 Thanks, Jeff
  8. The Mountain bike is prepped for the season so we need to figure out when that ride is going down. Hoping to do a road ride Sunday. Chris, Juan, Nebby anyone looking to do a ride. My shop mechanic might be joining in.
  9. I have 28 tires on the DeSalvo and 32 spoke Chris King hubs and while heavy these wheels seem bomb proof. I also have Chris Kings on the MTB that Brent's friend made for me that are fantastic and he does it for a very reasonable price and quickly. I assume your bike came with 24 spoke wheels which are going to be tough to keep round with someone over 300 pounds.
  10. I am in for pretty much anything, unless it is Huffy sponsored.
  11. Halibut right off the boat.
  12. Soup was a big surprise for me. Does a really nice job. Love mine for smoothies once I found the right setting. It is too fast to use it as I did my previous blender.
  13. You should check out one of the pro bodies. I hardly use my D800 as the function/feel of the Pro body is so much better.
  14. I would like to but I have to fly to Canada tomorrow morning for the week.
  15. Flats on a road bike do not work for me. I guess I will need some clipless pedals on the DeSalvo. Never had my feet in the right place, especially with the slick as hell Brooks seat. Managed to set two PRs somehow but the hills were pretty tough on my super heavyweight bike.
  16. Yes, the Firefly build is supposed to take place late this year. The DeSalvo is my ride to the train station bike and I do not want to mess with bike shoes each day.
  17. When will there be a weekend that you are not hanging out at a Head-fi meet?
  18. I have to say the Head Case Cycling meet is going to be a pretty sweet bike show at the rate the people here are going. Think I am going to take the DeSalvo out tomorrow, flat pedals and all. Hopefully all the Spandex people won't laugh at me too much.
  19. When I saw what I had to pay I contemplated leaving the Country.
  20. That is terrible. Those bumpy downhills can be a bit disconcerting.
  21. Got my receiver hitch put on and built up the Kuat. This thing is seriously sexier than any of my bikes.
  22. I got the CIA model and have no complaints. I used a BB&B 20% off coupon so it seemed to be a pretty good deal to me.
  23. 30MPH crash would be awful. I was thinking that on a 30MPH downhill today. Hope everything turns out okay.
  24. I don't know where it will be. Depends on if Justin wants to travel. I am going to copy Vicki and put the trailer hitch carrier I bought last year on my truck. Noticed the one I have been using has damaged the roof of my truck.
