  1. Happy Birthday Shelly.
  2. These lockers are over $200 per year so I doubt people are paying to store run down bikes in them.
  3. Looks like the commute might not be happening. The transit authority is telling me they have no lockers available. I have never seen a single person park a bike in the 30+ lockers but I guess they were all rented for someone to have the opportunity to ride their bike at some point.
  4. Yeah, Adrian gives a lot of evil eye pictures for someone that couldn't take out a catcoon.
  5. I would think someone as tall as you would not be comfortable driving the LR4. I know the oversized steering wheel that won't go high enough makes them uncomfortable for me when I have them as rentals.
  6. Seem like a great group of people. I got the laptop sleeve, cell phone case and key strap as well. I might pick up one of their smaller bags as well.
  7. That is what I am thinking. It still seems like it would be harder for them to get the perfect spacer to allow for proper chain alignment than it would to order the right part.
  8. Unfortunately the yellow is just on the flap, the bag interior is all black. Been watching the strap training video trying to figure out how to wear this thing. Interesting people at Bailey.
  9. I have a question for the knowledgeable bike people here. I ordered the FSA K-Light BBRight compact crankset for my Cervelo R5. I stopped by today to see if the parts were in and what they had was the K-Light EVO 386 crankset and a story from the service manager telling me that they needed to order the spacer to make it work on the bike but that is the way FSA does it now. I called BS as the BBRight is specific and only works with a BBRight crankset not another random crankset with a spacer installed. If I knew more about the BBRight technology I would probably no more about whether this is a bad idea but it seems to be they ordered the wrong part and are just hoping to patch it with spacers and I will no longer have the BBRight function, whatever that is and maybe a weaker crankset since it is not fit to the bike. Should I tell them to start over or am I misunderstanding all of this? Also got the Bailey Bike Works bag. Really nice. I could have done without the yellow raincoat inside flap but otherwise pretty happy.
  10. I was hoping to do my mini commute this week but WMATA has not gotten back to me about my rented locker. They ask you to e-mail them your contact info but you never get any response. Maybe they are surprised someone is actually willing to pay them for a locker when you can park at a rack for free.
  11. I guess you are not riding today Nate because of the foot? It was a great ride and Chris showed me why I am having such trouble with the saddle so I think I might be able to make for a more comfortable ride. Got over 17 miles today and only almost t-boned an asian girl and almost fell over at a stop light when a car didn't give me enough room to pass. Not a bad ride at all.
  12. Chris and I got a great ride right into the District.
  13. I am around tomorrow if you think you want to go on a short ride somewhere around Alexandria.
  14. I like how it was not physically possible to fit Brent's whole head in the shot.
  15. Trying the Toupe RBX Expert for the extra padding. Seat comfort is the main thing that keeps me from riding more miles.
  16. Yeah watching the recording now. Definitely do not want to watch live unless you really like soccer commercials. None of the cool bike commercials you get on NBC Sports, all soccer all the time. I also liked how the beIN crew misspelled Cadel Evans' name in the race intro. Maybe they are new to cycling races. Rode to Alexandria and back this morning. Just about 24 miles with some decent climbing. 5 PRs and 800 feet of climbing. Felt like I could have easily kept going but my new seat just wasn't right so I wanted off the bike.
  17. Heading out for a ride this morning. Found a channel on Fios call BEin sports that shows a lot of cycling and will be broadcasting the Giro d'Italia today if anyone is interested in checking it out.
  18. Decided to take a walk to the Zoo during lunch today. Was only able to spend a few minutes so didn't make it down to the big cats.
  19. The bags look good to me and the strapping mechanism looks to be very good for bike carry. Not quite as easy as a pannier but I could use this on whichever bike I decide to ride. This, but in copper to match the bike of course.
  20. I think I will pick up the Bailey Digital Super Pro for regular use and one of the Portland racks for the future if I decide to put on a trunk bag or panniers. Wish Portland did these in stainless.
  21. Yeah, but I always want more than I ask for. I figure some times I might have to bring my POS Dell home for some work-related nonsense.
  22. Nate, which Baileyworks do you have? I like the Roadrunner in Copper. Dan, I have a hydration pack but I think it is too skinny to fit a laptop.
  23. Finally signed up for a bike locker at the train station. Hope to start my mini commute next week. Need to figure the best way to transport ipad, etc. comfortably while on the bike. Any of you guys have bike bags (pannier or wearable) that you recommend?
  24. I am in Falls Church, just inside the 495 loop at 50.
  25. I figure 2 hours drive down there so maybe I get in around 11, we grab a quick lunch and then hit the trails.
