  1. I can stay for free at the Marriott so it would probably be worth the inconvenience.
  2. Thanks for the info. Booked a room just in case I can make it.
  3. I think the event hotel is all booked so I was looking at a Residence Inn in Sebring. I hadn't looked at Orlando but that looks like I could get cheap direct flights there from DCA.
  4. Looking at the possibility of actually using my travel bike and heading to this Sebring thing. Does one fly into Tampa to get to Sebring?
  5. Internet is kind of slow. I think I need 2-3 more hits.
  6. Comcast was okay when I last had it. The Fios Internet has been quite good though several of my cable boxes don't get all the channels. I unplugged the modem and hit it really hard several times and now it is back to working. I think it just needed some intimidation. I should start a fix-it service.
  7. Came home to find my POS Fios modem is dead but I have been assured I will have a new one within 1-2 weeks. While I continue paying for their shitty 150MB down 50MB up service as well as every channel they offer they can't be bothered to use express shipping.
  8. Happy Birthday Justin.
  9. The lens is a business investment is it not? I seem to recall that she was shooting weddings now so I would typically vote go for the best if not for actual image quality then for the "image" prospective clients are looking for. I am admittedly a snob but I would look at the gear of someone wanting to shoot my wedding and would prefer to see Nikon over Tamron or whatever (actually I would prefer to see Canon but that is another conversation). The Sigma 24-70 is not bad for the money but tends to have a bit of a color shift with the few pictures I have taken with a loaner. Not as accurate as the Nikon, in my opinion. I am always the type that has to buy the best as I will dump a runner up almost immediately because I know there is something better out there.
  10. Looks like the ones Tyll had at RMAF a couple of years ago when he introduced us to someone from Cardas that was showing them off. Sounded decent to me. I wouldn't be able to compare them to their competitors as I have not listened to many universals in a while but I would be happy with what I heard in Colorado.
  11. Yeah it has been a decent race outside all of the cautions. Need to go to sleep but I like the night racing.
  12. Had a nice warm ride this morning. I had to take a pic of something I thought was pretty cool. A family decided to go out and buy gatorade, water and power bars and hand them out to the riders along the trail to "Pay it Forward".
  13. I'd be looking awesome on a CF Cyclocross bike if rail trails (dirt/asphalt) were my intended riding.
  14. Zach, lots of mountain bikes around here as well. You just have to dig deeper. Mike, Brent (sort of), Colin, Chris, Juan, Ben, Justin, Ian, Nate and on and on. Skinny tires just get more coverage in this thread for some reason. I'll post my bike just to get some more MTB in the thread.
  15. Hoping to get a ride in today or tomorrow and checking out the Reston Grand Prix Sunday for a weekend full of bikes.
  16. They definitely felt good about doing me this favor
  17. Arrived home to find a package on the front porch. Coach sent back my bag, with no notice whatsoever to me. Inside I got a letter basically telling me that since they stand behind their product they went ahead and stitched up the 4 month old bag. Didn't even bother treating the leather before sending it back.
  18. I actually like my 323s, until I listen to a BHSE, and then I want to shoot it for being so comparatively bad.
  19. Good to hear.
  20. So the road trip has come to a grinding halt?
  21. Looks interesting. I still prefer the constant 2.8 lens on the Panasonic but probably not mandatory at full zoom. A few more from last weekend in Chattanooga. I call this one Empanadas with Big Headed Mexican and Nerd Phone
  22. Yeah, I am barely willing to carry a DSLR with lenses these days there is no way they would carry a full frame and multiple lenses.
  23. I am looking to get a super zoom for my parents for an upcoming Alaska trip. It would appear the Panasonic FZ200 might be the best choice at the moment. Anyone here have any experience with this one or recommend a different super zoom that you have used?
  24. All I can think is it looks like the girl second from the left has a nut sac. This looks like a killer deal in my area. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/bik/3872899628.html
  25. Nice, is it challenging due to obstacles, speed, curves or all of the above? I have not been on a bike in 2 weeks and just can't convince myself to go for a ride.
