  1. I am really interested in the first HC Cycling Meet so I can see if I can keep up with anyone over the course of the first mile. I am thinking I need to average 18+ MPH just to keep up with everyone here.
  2. A gallon is a lot of water to intake. Seems like it would just depend on how much you are sweating. I didn't drink anything on the 15 miles yesterday but the temps were nothing like yours. The crank on my Calfee is compact. Standard would have resulted in me rolling backwards down the hill trying to unclip my pedals I am sure.
  3. I was also happy that when Garmin Sharp ran into people, those people were on another team. He pretty much put that Sky racer into the creek in the early part of the race. I was very impressed by Ryder up in the lead pack for quite a bit with a broken rib. I would be watching the race poolside from my home if I had a broken rib not leading on a mountain stage.
  4. Yay!
  5. I guess so. I am looking at it as progress as there was a time 6 months ago I couldn't make it up this one hill in the little ring.
  6. Walking by the Calfee this morning I realized why yesterday's ride felt so weird. I typically never leave the little ring on my W&OD trail ride so I am used to always being in the lower gears. As the Calfee had been on the trainer I had it in the big ring and rode all day yesterday in the big ring. I thought those two big hill climbs were more difficult than I expected.

    Ray Donovan on Showtime

Very Sopranosish, with the troubled, violent lead actor and the family causing more trouble than they are worth.

This one looks fairly promising. Enough violence and T&A to keep the drama from getting too thick.
  9. Another great stage.
  10. I like it more than Garmin Connect. It has a whole lot of pre-loaded segments and you can make your own and set goals to track your progress. I paid for Pro so I could break down the rankings into the fat guy list so I feel better about my placing in the segment ranks.
  11. While I didn't enjoy it much, I did set 12 PRs this morning on my ride into Arlington and back. The shade certainly helped but that long hill at the end was pretty rough in the sun.
  12. Looks like 93% humidity by 6AM so I am not sure it is worth waking up before the sun to head out here.
  13. Sorry I told you ahead of time that all of Team Garmin Sharp ran into each other and injured themselves.
  14. I got the cheap ones with the pancake lens.
  15. I am hoping to get out before it gets too hot tomorrow morning. Thinking about taking the Calfee out since it hasn't left the basement in 6 months.
  16. I think for the $299 price it is still an excellent package. It will probably end up replacing my S100 as my commute bag camera and basic travel camera.
  17. I saw a 11-22 that will not be sold in America. What other new lenses are there?
  18. Today's stage has been quite good.
  19. Aperture has RAW Eos-M coverage but I was surprised to see how few lenses were out there in the M format so far. Seems like if Canon was really going to support it they would have put out a few lenses by now. Thought about picking one up for a day bag camera but not sure I really care enough to carry around a 35mm camera everyday. Amazon has them back in stock so I grabbed one and a few for gifts and that EF converter. Need to dig up some of my old Canon lenses.
  20. Happy Birthday Mike.
  21. Happy Birthday
  22. Great race so far. I just wish the Garmin Sharp guys could ride more than 100 yards without crashing.
  23. He had a hell of a ride and if he not been against a team in the breakaway I think he would have taken it. He did too much of the leading and they jumped him the last lap.
  24. Happy Birthday Greg.
