  1. Post ride Smoothie Kale Whole Peach 1/4 Cucumber 3 Strawberries Almond Milk Spectrum Decadent Blend Chia, Flax, Coconut and Cocoa mix. Good, but it needs more mix I think to cover some of the dirt flavor from the Kale.
  2. Great to hear Dan. I just got back from a short 12 mile ride. Not too bad as long as you keep moving but it is pretty damn warm when you stop for stop lights. 5 PR with the proper speed / cadence center and 2+ MPH faster avg speed. Still not going to keep up with most of you guys but I was happy holding over 20MPH for the first 8 miles.
  3. I MOCK YOU. Kidding Ari, I already have all that stuff except for the spare tire box and I have no spare tires. How is the bike shop going?
  4. I was hoping to be out by 7 or 8. I am around for a Sunday ride if weather permits.
  5. Definitely. I used my stand to put my new cadence / speed sensor on the Cervelo. No more 3MPH downhills for me. Getting up early for a ride tomorrow and trying to decide whether to take out the Calfee with the new wheels or the Cervelo to see what my average speed might be without the numerous speed gaps caused by the trees.
  6. Yeah shelves will probably work just as well. I like the holes for all my Park Tools to slip into and the tray comes in handy for parts / screws.
  7. Did you get the tray and the handlebar stays? I bought them and find the tray to be the most useful really.
  8. The Park Tools stand is great.
  9. I have the same water bottles. They work very well in the heat. I usually don't even bother with ice since I am out for an hour to an hour and a half at most.
  10. Nice, you even have special cups for yours.
  11. Had a successful experiment today. 1/4 of a Cucumber 5 Strawberries Bunch of Pineapple Milk Ice
  12. I have made an awesome Roasted Red Pepper soup out of the Vitamix cook book in mine. Quite good. Tonight I failed again. Evidently when you don't pay attention at the grocery store and pick up Mustard Greens instead of Kale, you get a fairly spicy smoothie. 1 Peach 3 large Strawberries 3 Chunks of Mustard Greens
  13. Took the Calfee out to try the new wheels and check out a route that I can take to get me to my normal Trail. Bike is greatly improved by losing that pound of wheels. The ride seems to be quite a bit smoother as well, similar to that of the Titanium DeSalvo with the big 28mm tires. The route works out pretty well but is only a 2 lane road with many stretches of no shoulder so it could be rough.

  15. Yeah I very much like mine and I am not a fan of Oakley typically.
  16. Cool toys are Cool. I do not know if it does things your devices won't but it was a dramatic upgrade over my previous blender and has not disappointed up to this point.
  17. I kind of like those white ones.
  18. Cheaper Oakley Radars on Chainlove at the moment, 75 bucks.
  19. Dinny's daily Smoothie pics to which I have subscribed has gotten me interested in putting the Vitamix back to use. I know there are many Smoothie people here so I thought a thread to share interesting recipes might be nice. I have done most of the basic things but I am looking for ways to incorporate more healthy things into my smoothies. I will start with one that I think is a bit of a failure, mostly because I do not like the flavor of chocolate Muscle Milk. 2 small containers of Muscle Milk Light Chocolate 8 Peach Slices 12 Strawberries 2 Tablespoons of Peter Pan Peanut Butter Ice While far better than straight Muscle Milk, it was still not a great flavor and really had nothing "healthy" in it.
  20. Competitive Cyclist is having another nice sale today. I checked on the Mad Fibers as I about had myself convinced to buy them after listening to Chris' marketing presentation but they are all out. They do have Tallboy Carbon/X.0 complete bikes for $4,000 which seems ridiculously cheap. Also some nice Oakley's for $140.
  21. Didn't manage to hit anywhere near 46 miles but did get out on an excellent ride with Chris and Juan in an area I have wanted to ride since first driving through it. This area of DC and Maryland feels like you are miles from town and the roads are mostly closed to vehicles on the weekend so much more relaxing. My Garmin once again failed miserably in the trees so I am going to have to figure out how to fit a cadence sensor on the Cervelo. I was reading around 6 MPH for most of the ride including some pretty crazy downhills that were in the trees. I think the Strava plot will look pretty strange because I saw at least once that I was cruising at 6-8 MPH and then I came out of the trees and jumped immediately to 30MPH. This explains why I always set all my PRs on the Calfee (with cadence sensor). Chris and Juan are still much faster than me but I am feeling much better at the end of these rides than I ever did in the past so I guess that is an improvement. Just saw on FB that my shop is showing the TdF stage tomorrow projected on the outdoor screen for a bit of a party so I have reason to break out the DeSalvo for a ride over and a bit of TdF party.
  22. Drunk History on Comedy Central. Interesting idea.
  23. I have whatever the standard Mavic tires they sell on the rims. Mavic sells the rims with tube and tires for some reason. I will replace with something else soon I think.
  24. The heavy ass Racing Ts that come on the Cervelo R5.

I think it is insane that "the worlds top pros" of scootering actually exist.
