  1. It would win an award at Cannes, I guarantee it. Dramatic music, bloody thorn holes. We would film him walking to work and walking around his office with the MTB and play it off as some mental disease in which he insists on dragging a Huffy around everywhere he goes. Golden.
  2. I have done all of mine in iMovie. Really easy.
  3. Really enjoyed the riding parts. I would think your director's cut should cut out the 5 minute trail escape route interlude. I still don't understand why Brent insists on taking a heavy mountain bike on all of his hikes. Mike, looks like you have really good bike control. Brent, you rocked walking down that 6 foot downhill.
  4. Is that bow legged rider or seat 4 inches too low? Haven't seem Dom in forever and JP looks smaller than I remember. Looking good Florida crew.
  5. I assumed he would find the nice soft sand a pleasure to crash into compared to the thorn bushes up north.
  6. I just imagine alligators hanging out at that one switchback waiting for lunch.
  7. Boooo
  8. I have not made any changes. We will have our typical vote for bonus points before too long. You should be able to see all scoring settings on the site.
  9. Happy Birthday Ian
  10. Please tell me thorn bushes were involved. Or an alligator.
  11. Great ride Dan. Had another great ride with Chris today. Did the hill section down by Mt. Vernon. About the same elevation gain over 20 miles that Dan had in 12. 7 PR over the previous times we have done the ride so I am getting somewhat better. Don't have the magnet on the new rear Mad Fiber yet so my Garmin was pausing quite a bit or reading really slow speeds whenever in the trees. Only real issue was a blowout I had on a little downhill that managed to mar the new Mad Fibers and ruin a 4000s tire that had a couple of sidewall snake bites from being rid on.
  12. I might be up for your hills of death ride but I have to see if my legs recover from the training session last night.
  13. I really need some more Biscuit Boy SMASH footage for the sequel Mike.
  14. I am definitely up for an afternoon ride today. Anybody else in? Ben, Juan? Where is the ride Chris?
  15. Sunday looks like a rain day.
  16. Any of the locals up for a pre-ride weekend ride this weekend? I know Dan, Ben and Chris have all expressed interest but nothing firm yet. Maybe we can even get Dusty to break out his bike so we can make sure it runs.
  17. As of today: Sherwood Salt Peanuts Emelius Shelly Raffy Dinny Nate Brent Jeff Moonshine Aura Todd Tyrion Where is Morphsci, FF calling Morphsci.
  18. I think ruggedness is something you could expect from most road bikes to some extent. Are you planning on ride dirt/gravel trails a lot? I would think that a really light guy like you would not be able to break down most modern frames unless you want to ride full MTB trails. I would definitely be looking for something a lot lighter that a cross bike or tourer as my only bike. I think the Caad10 that several people here ride would be plenty rugged but not weigh a ton or keep you in a non-advantageous riding position if you are actually just looking to ride the roads and paved trails. I would think most people think of starting with a more upright or all-rounder bike but end up upgrading to something more aggressive down the road. I wouldn't dream of keeping my DeSalvo as my only bike.
  19. That's okay, Brent thinks we are playing Soccer.
  20. This is where we stand: Sherwood Salt Peanuts Emelius Shelly Raffy Dinny Nate Brent Jeff Moonshine Aura Looks like we need one more player and we will have a 12 person league. If some people are waiting to speak up Todd, Jim, Vicki, Tyll (he mentioned wanting to play at a Florida meet once) etc. time to chime in as we will need to draft before too long. If we get multiple people returning we will keep the two leagues but we might just end up with one.

I never use the baro on my Core but I might need a Sapphire so I can switch up watches so I don't get bored with my watches at the gym.

    Yay Suunto!!!
  23. Did we ever get a group ride setup for this weekend while Marc is in town? Never mind, looks like he will not be in town after all.
  24. That is a pretty dramatic change. I am going to raise the Calfee saddle quite a bit as I realized this weekend it is too low. Otherwise the Calfee feels pretty comfortable with a very different geometry than the Cervelo. I need to get fitted and I think it will be a very comfortable bike.
  25. Great. Let's talk about what bike you are going to buy. I am assuming a $20k budget to get you started?
