Yeah I gave up. All I left with is a scraped up carbon crank arm.
-
We tested it on a few setups. The Vectors will not work on the Dura-Ace crank as it is too wide but it will work on stock SRAM Red, barely. Anything over 38mm wide will not work until they get a new version of the pod prepared. We tested it with the Garmin 800 on a R3 with Rotor crank arms that worked and could not get the left pedal to show. The right pedal would work but it was showing nothing for left. The 810 that the store manager associated with the power meter showed both.
-
There is not enough connection cable once you put on the washers so the thing will not connect and power up the PM.
-
It will only fit on a crank arm of 38mm or less. Basically skinny stuff. The 44 FSA will not work.
-
Fail. Evidently the Garmin will not fit on my thick FSA carbon crank arms. The POS pod binds against the crank arm when tightened down.

Back at the shop getting Vectors number 2 installed. Wish me luck.

The softer Calfee would probably be more comfortable on the rough roads. I keep thinking I need to take out the Calfee but each time I go to pick a bike there is never any desire to take the heavy bike. I need to start taking it on trips so it actually gets used. Add to that the fact that I haven't ridden in weeks I am probably leaning towards the Cervelo.
-
11-26. I never find the gear I want with the 11-28 on a compact.
-
But if I took the Calfee I would have to switch out wheels sets/brake pads because I really do not like the 11-28 cassette and I want to put the Calfee on a diet.
-
I have a hammer you can borrow.
-
I thought for sure we would have two C'Dale Black Inc. bikes there tomorrow. I am contemplating taking the Calfee but I will probably stick with the Cervelo.

It turns out I do have Universal Sports after all. They have Bikenado going on this month and tons of racing and bike shows. I have been watching Take a Seat: Sharing a Bike Ride Across America. Really good show about a guy on a tandem riding across the country with different special needs people. Seems like a pretty awesome concept as the guest riders seem to love the experience.
-
I don't want it to fit too well tomorrow as I do not want to lose my Strava positions on those climbs. My legs are currently dead after a leg workout so I am wondering if I can even make it up that one hill. I might even have to use the little ring.
-
I would not advise that since the crappy aluminum will just snap.
-
I probably will. The mounts are cheap because they will be broken so often due to poor design so the aluminum is very brittle. Trying to find the crowfoot adapter somewhere as that is the only way to change them out between bikes. If I can't find that I will probably give up.

Got my $1700 Garmin Vectors today. Piece of shit broke during install. Terrible engineering with the pods and even worse build quality. The shop was torquing it to spec and the pod mount snapped in half and the pod dropped to the floor. Now I am back on the waiting list for pedals that look to be very poorly made. Even the pedals themselves look like chinese knock offs of Looks with sharp edges and poor engraving. Also the crowfoot adapter you have to use to change out these pedals is back ordered months at all of the online places I can find. It is evidently one of very few thin enough to fit into the poorly engineered space you have to access to torque the pedals so they measure correctly.

I like the control panel and the fact that I can access it without putting in our security code. I need to dig a bit deeper to see if I can change what shows up on the control panel but I like the flashlight and calculator plus all the most commonly used settings stuff being so easily accessible.

Everyone is searching for the Brents of the league that trade away their top 2 picks for midlevel picks. \ That is the hardest thing about trading as the person proposing the trade has to be seeking an increase in production so they have to make trades that benefit themselves.
-
Yeah my entire team on the 10 Team league is on the block.
-
I think we need to work on being more active in trades in our leagues. Just had a large one in League Two but they are fairly rare. Maybe if people would fill out their Trading Blocks it might encourage more trading?
-
You could definitely pull that bike off around C'Ville Justin.
-
Yeah, I am not fond of the pod setup myself. Batteries that don't last for a ride would be a real problem. Seems like Garmin went from a $800 unit that was supposed to be released a long time ago to a $1700 flaky system that still is not ready for release.
-
Evidently it will not show both legs on the Garmin 800 and there were some syncing issues. The same shop told me not to bother with the 810 so I do not think it is an upsell.
-
Supposedly might have my Vectors this week. I am told by the shop that the 800 and 500 do not play well with the Vectors, even after software update so I am hoping I am not going to need to buy a new 810 on top of these freakin pedals.
