Is there going to be a HC ride this weekend? My wrist seems to be pretty good but I am not sure if anyone ever made any plans.

Looks like Fresh Bikes is having a ride Sunday in to DC from my shop to ride around the monuments with a stop at the Arlington store. Two big rides this weekend from the shop, they are really trying to get them in before the cold arrives.

I think there is something wrong in the world if Colin Toole gets First Class upgrades.

Chris, since you want to use them on several bikes I would think the mounting issues could be pretty big in your decision process. I have found that once safely installed they work very well and I have grown to like the pedals. Easier to clip in to for me.

I did get my fit on the Calfee. So much better, watching the videos showed dramatically more efficient strokes and less bouncing as the seat was way to low where I had it. I knew it was but since I ride it so rarely I never bothered trying to get it right. Also got the full analysis and was told that I am very symmetric and have excellent pedal stroke, etc.

Looks like there is a 2014 Pinarrello bike demo at my shop this weekend tied to a 1.5 hour ride.

Of course after buying two long sleeve jerseys from Road Holland yesterday they bring out the 20% off sale today. Pretty decent deals if people are looking for some high quality jerseys.

Nope no bikes. Hopefully it is just a new Kuat and no frame damage. The Kuat is amazing strong as it is still perfect after a 15-20MPH impact. Unfortunately I have no way to transport the bike to a ride this weekend at this point nor to the fittings for both bikes that I have scheduled for tomorrow.

Got rear ended on the way home from work tonight. Kuat absorbed all the damage as far as I can tell. Broke the bolt in the bottom that allows you to tighten the rack down in the receiver hitch to keep it from wobbling so it is basically useless. Took quite some time to get the whole Family to get me insurance info and everything as they wanted to pay for the rack instead of filing a claim.

If you snuck into the park and rode the road invisibly and didn't get eaten by a bear because they all know the cops are all gone.

Did you just ride over with all your gear for the day or drive with the bike on a rack? I will only have a rental so no bike rack.

Still trying to figure out which routes will still be available. I had heard Rock Creek Park might be closed but I am not sure if that is to cars, bikes or both. I was planning on staying at a Marriott and using points. There was one in the area I believe.

Vicki, JP and Raffy will probably do something like 2.5k miles over the course of the weekend. I think Mike, Justin and I will do normal rides, 40-60 miles. We are having a training ride this weekend, Saturday probably.

Yeah, I was going to get a Canon S120 but saw this in the cabinet. Seemed really low as the new ones are still selling for 600.

I picked up an open box RX100 MK1 at Best Buy for 379 since I did not have a camera in Chicago and got bored. Came with everything and appears to be unused.

Took the point and shoot after lunch.

I am starting the prep process for the Sebring HC Cycling Team event. Set up a 3D fit for the Calfee for Wednesday and started researching Sebring shops to set up an appointment for someone to put my bike back together when I get it down there, in case I decide I can't get it back together myself. Probably going to switch the Calfee to the Mad Fibers for the trip so I am hoping this all fits in the case.

Well glad everyone is feeling better now. It was a great day with top notch food, beer and creeping out of women.

Jeez, I was thinking we took it easy. I don't think I got much more than a buzz and was up at 6AM in the gym. I must have been drinking weak beers.

I think it will really depend on if people are willing to travel and if it will require hotels, etc. for those traveling longer distances. I would think somewhere out in the middle of nowhere would have some good roads without huge amounts of traffic but it needs to be close enough for people to be willing to travel. Maybe even need hotels, etc. for travel team members, you never know.

We need to get a ride together for the weekend of 10/25 when Colin is Virginia. Preferably somewhere down south since he will be in Richmond but maybe up north. Charlottesville?? Who's in and who has recommendations for locale, routes?

Would have liked to get back to FFF but I had no way to get back for my flight and I never even saw Adrian this morning. I am at the airport waiting for the usual United delays so I can get home. Had a great time with the Chicago crew and First Lieutenant Hiccups.
