She's nice and a bit ambitious I'd say, but has some confidence and self-worth issues...you'd have to, to be married to this guy. Yeah if my wife worked for this guy I'm sure I'd be getting bailed out for assault right now. LOL, even Billy is better than this guy j/k man, j/k

Yeah dude, I totally take it back man, I meant that in jest with you, but now, oh now it seems like such a massive insult.

So last night I went to my wife's office Christmas party. There I met her supervisor and the supervisor's husband who also works there....yeah, he and his wife work together. Turns out she was his assistant until she got pregnant....then she was promoted and became his wife. ANYWAY.... the husband is quite possibly the biggest douchebag I've ever met...nay, he's a meta-douchebag. He is the douchebag from which all other douchebags are determined. Everything he said was awful, awful to his wife, awful to his mother (who owns the company), awful to other coworkers (not my wife though she she doesn't work for him). After the evening was through I thought of this emoticon: because that's what I wanted to do to him, that misogynistic meta-douchebag. Merry Christmas

I found the low end to be anemic because of the fit issues I was having. I think the headband is seriously holding these cans back. I too was not fond of them, but I wonder how many impressions are based on people evaluating them and not getting a good seat. Now of course, this is part of the package and something to consider, but I think they may be better than a lot of people think, if the headband allowed the headphones to sit properly. Perhaps it's just me and my small head, but a good number of people complain about the lack of bass on the W5000; driver proximity to the ear can effect perceived bass response a great deal. I should add that when I did push on the headband/cups to get a better seat, that did improve bass response, but not to the point that I was happy with it.

Have you tried NOT being a douchebag? I'm sorry, Nate's my buddy, but I couldn't resist.

It might, dig around here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Since SqueezeCenter is still in Beta form they're ironing the bugs out.

Well I installed the newer SqueezeCenter 7.0 software last night and I think I like it. It scrobbles Last.FM too (if the old version did that, I was unaware of it). The web interface is improved, but still very similar to 6.5.X So if you don't like that interface then you might not like the new thing. The Squeezebox updated it's firmware but seems to function much like it did before so I don't notice much of a change. the cool thing is I don't have to log into squeezenetwork to get on my Pandora stations...I can do it right fromt he main menu now.

I rarely use the web interface for slimserver, just the squeezebox interface...but it has gotten better. The most recent update is pretty good. Apparently there's a beta version 7 called squeeze solution or squeeze your mom: http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/7.0/ There it is: SqueezeCenter 7 I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to try it soon.... a few people have mentioned that it's an improvement over at HF.

I haven't spent a lot of time with the W5000, but they do have their issues. The best I heard them was paired with MOSFET output amps (like the M3 or the AT HA whatever or that other headphone amp AT makes). That's about all I've heard them with so my experience is limited. My biggest issue is fit. The bands that go from one cup to the other are longer and have a different arc than past AT cans. They never fit my head well. They always fell in such a way as to leave a gap between my head and the earpads just above my ears. The fit issue really messes with the SQ. If i pushed on the cup to get them to sit correctly on my head I'd get a good fit and the sound would improve. If not then the sound was off. I was at a mini meet with two pairs of W5000 and one pair definitely fit better than the other. My impressions were that they sounded a bit bright with recessed mids, but I suspect that has more to do with the fit issue than anything else as that improved when I pushed the cups so they would sit properly. There was something odd in the mids going on though.

He's not a manufacturer, he just makes cables. How hard could that be, they all sound the same. Posse DBTABX represent!

I don't know...they have drive through liqueur store in NH....that and death's right on the license plate. We must consolidate to help in the fight against the machine. Whoa I thought we were talking amps here. Nobody's doing anything with anyone else's "business"* *Void if you look like or actually are: Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Joile, that chick form Victoria's Secret, no the other one, Angie Everhart, Helen Hunt, Princess Leia in the gold bikini, the chick who played Darla on Buffy and Angel, Allison Hannigan, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johannson, Grace Park, Rene O'Connor, or Tricia Helfer
